Once upon a time in what seems such a long time ago, a group of crazy ladies headed down the coast to a little place by the sea for some stamping. Now during that time there was lots of laughing and eating ….. and stamping and eating …. and a little more stamping and a little more chocolate. They were having such a wonderful time, that ‘Oh Dear’ to their horror the weekend was over and all had to return to their homes. Alas, they found that many hadn’t completed all the projects that was planned.
Now the time passed and life got so busy that these projects sat abandoned and unfinished. One day it was decided it was time these projects were dusted off and completed. Time these projects stood in all their glory”
I hope you enjoyed that little story. It seems like so long ago that we had our stamping weekend at Leonie N’s. You might remember me talking about it some time ago. Here and here are some of the projects we did. Yes, I have had so many unfinished projects from that weekend. Don’t know if they stand in all their glory though? Lovely Leonie showed us these techniques, it has just taken this long to put them together.
This card is done using the technique of crayon resist. I have been wanting to try this for a while. I really liked the effect although it is a little hard to see it in the photo.
Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral, Upsy Daisy.
Card: Glossy White, Baja Breeze, Pretty in Pink.
Ink: Baja Breeze, Pretty in Pink, Basic Black.
Other: White crayon, Sponges, Wide Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Mounting Tape.
This next card is using Watercolour crayons. Another technique I hadn’t done before.
It is a bit hard to see the coloured flowers. I used Pale Plum for the flowers so it is a bit pale. The centre was coloured with Elegant Eggplant.
Stamps: Bloomin’ with beauty, French Script.
Ink: Elegant Eggplant.
Card: Elegant Eggplant, Pumpkin Pie, Mello Moss, watercolour Paper.
Other: Watercolour Crayons, Scallop Border Punch, Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain ribbon.
Well, some projects completed. I still have more unfinished projects to work on – sometime!!!
Thanks for looking 🙂
