Wednesday’s WOW! #62 If you have the Story Label Punch (or realise that you do need it 🙂 ), then check this out. I want to show you 5 Ways to use the Story Label Punch.
The Story Label Punch is available now as a Sale-A-Bration Co-ordination product. THIS ENDS ON SUNDAY!!! I don’t know if it will be carried over though.
Here are some different ways to use this punch. Of course, you can stamp a sentiment, punch it out and add that to your card which is nice but what about some other ways.
1.Tie it – Punch a hole in one end and thread some ribbon or twine through OR wrap some Thread or Twine around one of the ends.
2. Layer it – Stamp a sentiment on a smaller shape, adhere that to another shape then layer them all together on the punched label. For this one I have used the Everyday Label Punch.
3. Add a Different Punch – Check out your other punches or dies to adhere them together to make a fun shape.
4. Cut it – stamp a sentiment on white and punch it out. Then punch the label from another colour cardstock. You can cut that label in half (either horizontally or vertically). Adhere this one behind your stamped label by just separating them slightly so you just see an edge of the coloured label.
5. Change it – Make it a different shape. This is great for smaller sentiments that might look too big on the original punch shape. Trim it with your Paper Trimmer by lining up the points of the curve in the Trimmer and cut off the edge.
Let me show you a card where I layered the punch. This is actually a card we are making in class this Friday. I have CASED it from Le Ann Greff ->HERE. I loved the way the label was used on this card BUT also check the flowers. This is from the Painted Blooms set. I daubered the centre with Early Espresso ink like she did. It gives it a different look. I embossed my stamped white card piece with the Subtle Embossing Folder to give it some texture.
What other different ways could you try?
Now as I was playing around with these I realised that some of the images from the set Label Me Pretty fit well in to this punch shape. I stamped one up to show you. Well actually I took one of the images and coloured it with the Markers and then punched it out. I really haven’t used this set very much in the years that I have had it. And did you know there is actually little butterflies in this image? I hadn’t even noticed.
