FAREWELL TO THE 2017-2019 INCOLORS!

I am sad that these colours are leaving us.  I have to say I have really liked working with most of these colours.  Especially Lemon Lime Twist.  I thought I would share a few photos of projects I have made over the last 2 years as we send off these colours.

At the beginning of the 2017 Catalogue when these colours launched I had to show them all together with a flower display using the Daisy Punch.

I like to create a group of cards using the Incolors.  These ones use the Detailed Floral Thinlits.

I think Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist has been a popular colour combination I have used over the last 2 years.

Lemon Lime Twist is just as nice on it’s own. It does seem a lot more intense though.

Tranquil Tide.  I used it a little bit.  It was a nice shade of green.  This one was using the Eastern Beauty stamp set.

Fresh Fig and Powder Pink I haven’t used all that much.  But here they are together with Berry Burst.

So we farewell the 2017-2019 Incolors.  What colour are you saddest to see going?

Inkpads and some of these colours of cardstock are still available to order.  Be sure to stock up if you like them.  The Reinkers have all sold out though so you are a little late with those.

See the retiring incolors and to order in my store head-> HERE

Please use the Host Code: EUEAGC3N when ordering.  Thank you kindly. And be sure to not mark your order anonymous or I won’t be able to send you out a little Thank You. 🙂

Next week we will be welcoming in the 2019-2021 Incolors.  I have been playing with these a lot over the weekend so I watch out for some projects soon.

Thanks for stopping by.  See you again.

BERRY BURST COLORFUL SEASONS WITH SPONGED MOON!

I wanted to show you the card everyone got to make at my Open House events last weekend.  I think everyone was happy with their results.

I wanted to showcase the Colorful Seasons Bundle as I had been playing a bit with it lately.

This card was inspired by a card by Patty Bennett.  You can see her card HERE.  I loved the idea of the sponged moon effect.

The card base was the lovely new Incolor Berry Burst with the Powder Pink.  Instead of the ribbon that Patty used I added a scallop edge in Powder Pink using the Scallop Thinlit in the set.  I added a little sparkle with a strip of the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper.

To create the Sponged moon effect.  Take a piece of copy paper cut to the size of the Whisper White card.  Cut a circle using the Layering Circles Framelits to the left of the copy paper piece.

Place the piece of paper over the Whisper White card and carefully start sponging the Powder Pink ink inside the circle. Gradually making your way in to the centre of the circle. It is good to leave the centre a little lighter.  TIP: If you haven’t used any removable adhesive on your paper then you need to hold the paper in place carefully with your fingers at the circle edge.  Sponge in to the circle. Slowly move your fingers as you work around the circle to hold the paper down.  If that makes sense??

Then take the Berry Burst inkpad and sponge a small section in the lower left corner.  Then you can remove the piece of copy paper, stamp your sentiment and tree branch in Early Espresso and some flowers in Berry Burst.  Assemble your card together, then cut a chair (love that chair!) in Berry Burst and some small flowers in Powder Pink.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a super stampy day/night wherever you are.  Don’t forget to stop by and say HI.  Tell me where you are from.  I love to read how far this travels.

LET’S MEET THE 2017 INCOLORS!

You have possibly had a chance by now to see the 2017 Incolors.  Stampin’ Up! releases 5 exclusive new colours each year usually to freshen up the Colour Collections and be on trend.

What do you think of this year’s colours??  I thought we would get to know them a little better.

We have Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, Powder  Pink and Tranquil Tide.

BERRY BURST

A deeper shade of Pink to Melon Mambo and a little richer.  I think this colour complements the other pinks so well and really brightens most other colours when they are used together.

FRESH FIG

This rich purple colour is darker than Rich Razzleberry which so many people love. It is slightly lighter than Blackberry Bliss which was an Incolor a few years ago.

LEMON LIME TWIST

OK.  Hands up.  Who didn’t like this colour when it first came out?? I have to say I nearly lept out of my chair when I first saw it.  I LOVED IT!  If you have seen my craft room and my studio you would know that I have a lot of the Lime Green colour around.  I was so excited. 🙂

I think this colour is so bright and fresh and happy.  It brings life to all the other colours.  I am in Looove. ❤

POWDER PINK

This pink is a darker shade to Pink Pirouette which I am glad.  And it is a more true pink than Blushing Bride.  I do use that colour a lot for pink but I am glad that this shade of pink has joined the team.

TRANQUIL TIDE

I do love this shade of Green.  It is darker shade than Emerald Envy and certainly Bermuda Bay. Quite a rich calming green I think.

Here are all the cards together for you.

I have used the Detailed Floral Thinlits for these and used the 2 Thinlits together.  The ribbon, which is the Incolor Fine Woven Ribbon covers the small line that you get when you emboss them.  The sentiment and stamped banner are from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous set and punched out with the Classic Label Punch. I discovered that one of the Banners from the Bunch of Banners Framelits dies will fit with the Classic Label Punch when it is punched out.   I was excited about that.

I put together a Colour comparison Chart which is what I usually do each year.  It is good to compare the Incolors to other current colours.  I thought I would share that with you.  The lighting is hard to capture each colour accurately.

I would love to know what your favourite Incolor is??  Drop me a comment.

Thanks for stopping by,

Jenny

EASTERN PALACE IN FRESH FIG!

I have been playing around with this brand new bundle coming soon,  the Eastern Palace suite.  I am liking all the different ways you can use this bundle.  I love how differently the Eastern Medallions Thinlits cut  to others we already had.

This  card I actually made before I made the one I showed in the last post and I have just realised I didn’t post this card.  Oops!  I CASED this card from Lyssa Zwolanek from songofmyheartstampers.com. You can see the original card HERE.

The base is Sahara Sand.  What about the mat colour.  What do you think?? This is one of the new Incolors Fresh Fig.  It’s a little deeper than Rich Razzleberry.  You can see the difference further below.

I like how the circle diecuts in the centre.  It’s a cool pattern.  Then I have cut 2 different centre die pieces.  I added a Gold Vinyl sticker on the top one.  The sentiment is really nice.  I like that font.

I added a thin strip of the Gold sticker down the bottom edge and then some of the gorgeous Gold Foil Designer Series Paper from the Eastern Palace Designer Series Paper.

I finished it off with some Adhesive Pearls.

Here is the Fresh Fig colour in comparison to Rich Razzleberry and Perfect Plum.  This is from Brian King’s blog HERE.  Head there and check out some of the other colour comparisons too.

Thanks for visiting.  I am going to go and play with this bundle some more so stay tuned.
