ONSTAGE LIVE APRIL 2019 SWAPS!

Today I wanted to share all the great Swap cards I received at the recent Onstage Live event.  Swapping is such a great way of seeing new ideas, colours and techniques.  It’s a fun way to meet other demonstrators too.

I have put together a video that I have below so you can see each one in more detail and see the sparkle and maybe learn how some of the cards were created.  So I hope you take a little time to watch it.  (It does go for about 24 minutes).  Be sure to watch until the end so you can see how you can be in the Giveaway to receive one of these card of your choice.

Here are some photos of the cards so you can save them for later reference.

Flowers

The card on the bottom left on this lot above was actually a card given to me by Kylie Bertucci which was really lovely.  I am part of her Demonstrator Training Group and she gave each of us a special card. How nice was that. 🙂

So what do you think? Lots of beautiful inspiration isn’t there.

If there is one that you would like a single photo of or see closer then let me know.

Thanks for visiting me and checking these out.

Don’t forget to leave a comment and I will be drawing someone at random on Monday to receive a card of their choice.

GEARED UP GARAGE WEEK – DAY ONE – CLASSIC MUSTANG!

While I am away at Onstage this next week I thought I would share some cool men’s cards with the Classic Garage Bundle.  Cards for the boys are so hard to make aren’t they?? I hope these ideas help this week.

Today it’s just a classic car card.  So my husband tells me this is a Mustang.  He would know.  It’s just a car to me.  🙂

Anyway …  Here is the card.

You don’t need much with this card with this cool paper from the Classic Garage Designer Series Paper Stack.  And as I am not one for too much colouring I stamped the car on to Crushed Curry cardstock and cut it with the Garage Gears Thinlits.  This was layered on to a Vellum Oval cut with the Stitched Shaped Framelits.

You can have ribbon and bling on boys cards.  I finished it off with some Black/Silver Striped Metallic Ribbon and Classic Garage Metal Elements.

Have you noticed this suite in the catalogue? It is a great one for the manly cards and it is very simple to put together.

The Geared Up Garage is $84.50 AUS for the bundle.  You can add on the paper and elements and Black/Silver Metallic Ribbon if you like too.  See them and order -> HERE in my store. Please use the  Host Code: P3TZFUNA

Stop by for more cards with this suite over the next few days,

WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #63 – USING THE LEFTOVERS!

Do you have “bits” left on your craft table that you don’t end up using on your projects?  I do quite often.  Then they get shoved in a drawer to sometimes never see the light of day again.  I have just finished working on my swaps from Onstage and had some leftover “bits”.  Instead of shoving them away I thought “use them straight away …” So I thought maybe this is a good thing to chat about for Wednesday’s WOW! #63 – Using those leftover bits.

It might be scraps of Designer Series Paper, or die-cut pieces you don’t end up using.  Maybe it’s a sentiment or image that you changed your mind on.  If they don’t get used, do you just throw them or put them away for later?? And like me never to be used again. 🙂

SO … why not use them straight away and make another project right there and then.  You have all the products out, you have everything on hand.  I know sometimes it’s a time thing but I decided today to use them straight away.  Not to put them in the bottomless drawer.

So with that in mind.  I created this card with leftovers on my table.

The Gingham Gala paper was left from another project, The butterflies and the Highland Heather narrow card strip was left over from my Onstage swaps. I just cut another piece of Highland Heather card with the Delicate Lace Edgelits. I won’t go in to details with the butterflies at the moment.  I will tell you about them when I show you my swaps in the next week or 2.

I stamped the sentiment from Butterfly Gala on a scrap piece of white too and cut with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits.  I added some loops of Silver Thread under the sentiment. I just noticed on the photo that there is only 2 Rhinestones on the card.  I had put 3 on.  It’s good to work in odd numbers on the elements.  I must have dropped one off so I will have to fix that.

So the moral of the story is and the message for Wednesday’s WOW! #63 – use those scraps – straight away though.  Otherwise they enter the drawer of no return never to see the light of day again. 🙂

Have fun creating,

Jenny

FOREVER LOVELY ONSTAGE CARD!

I realised I hadn’t shown you this card.  This was one of the Make and Take cards from Onstage last November.  I know it’s a long time ago BUT I have only recently completed it.  🙂  You might have seen some versions around the internet.

This card is using the Forever Lovely set from the Occasions Catalogue.  I don’t have this set so it is nice to have a card using it.  The Lovely Flowers Edgelits Dies are very detailed and decorative. I have used one of the little flower dies on this.

The paper banner strip is from the All My Love Designer Series Paper and the ribbon is the Lovely Lipstick from the All My Love Ribbon Combo pack.  The pearls give a little elegance to it.  I liked how one of the flower images and the leaves were stamped on the background of the Crumb Cake Card base.

Thanks for looking.  I hope your weekend is good. 🙂

CRAFT ALIVE RECAP!

2 Weeks ago I joined 3 other Demonstrators to hold a booth at the Craft Alive show in Penrith.  This is a HUGE craft show that travels to regional centres on the Eastern states of Australia.  Over the 3 day weekend over 5000 people visited the show.  We spoke to lots and lots of people.  They enjoyed making a card with us and seeing the display we had put together.  I thought I would share some of it with you.

This is the full view of our display.  There was lots of inspiration for everyone to see.

This display certainly showcased the How Sweet It is Suite.

Butterflies are always popular and these ones are with the Butterfly Gala stamp set and Punch and teamed with the lovely Gingham Gala Paper.

Lovely samples with some of the Sale-A-Bration products.

This is our team.  Donna Williams on the left, Di Barnes, Sarah Crittenden (one of my team members) and Me.  We had such a fun time together.  It was months of hard work and discussion and preparing but it all came together well.

Donna and I joined in Craft Chat Sessions each day.  Our topic was the Time Poor Crafter.  We were sharing tips on our to make the most of your craft time.

Thanks for indulging me in sharing this.  Thank You to Donna, Di and Sarah for sharing the fun venture and Thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand.  It was such a great time.

WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #55 – TIPS WITH THE FLORENTINE FILIGREE BUNDLE!

For Wednesday’s WOW! #55 today I thought I would look at the Florentine Filigree Bundle in the 2019 Occasions Catalogue.  I have been fascinated with it every time I see it in the catalogue.

The Florentine Filigree Thinlits die is quite fancy and the Florentine Filigree stamp set has a number of different medallion style stamps.

When I looked at the samples though I was quite fascinated with them.  On the one on the left those flourish style images were stamped in the little gaps in the diecut .  How can you get them so lined up and so neat?

The smaller card on the right looked like it had Texture Paste used with the diecut.

I came across a video with some great tips and it shows you how to easily create these cards.  I thought you might like to see the video.

Here are you are below.

What do you think? Are you going to add this bundle to your wish list now? It’s a gorgeous one isn’t it.

You can shop for this in my store now -> HERE. Please use the Host Code: Q6XB6QR6  It is $69.25 AUS

Add a little more to bump your order up to over $90 and you can choose a Sale-A-Bration item too AS WELL as receive my Tutorial Bundle for 10 exclusive projects.

Thanks for visiting me today.

BOKEH BEAUTY ABOUNDS!

I shared a pair of cards recently using the Beauty Abounds set.  (If you missed them you can see them -> HERE)

I realised I hadn’t come back and shared another pair of cards I made with this set. I needed to make some more quick cards up.

Here they are for you.

Both are similar in design in Gorgeous Grape and Mango Melody.  The Butterflies are coloured with the Stampin’ Blends.  There isn’t a Gorgeous Grape Blends but I used the Highland Heather which works just as well.  You can’t see it but I added some Wink of Stella on the butterflies to make them sparkle.

I am really loving the Black/Silver Striped Metallic Ribbon.  It works with so many different colours and projects.

The “You are Amazing” sentiment comes from the Amazing Life set.  The “hello” from the Beauty Abounds set.

These cards were sent out to some special people.

Thanks for stopping by.

Jenny.

WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #53 – RECTANGLE STITCHED FRAMELITS SIZES!

Wednesday’s WOW! #53 – Let’s talk about those cool Rectangle Stitched Framelits.  Have you seen them in the Catalogue? I LOVE them.

I have seen a few posts around with the Imperial measurements so I thought I would work out the Metric sizes for those of you who use metric measurements.  This might help you when you are choosing which Framelits to use and how they might layer together.

Here you go.  I hope it is a ready reference for you.

I have to say it’s a cool pattern with the measurements isn’t it?

I will talk more about ways to use them in later posts but for now I hope this is useful.

You NEED these Framelits in your collection.  I tell you they won’t leave your craft desk.  There are so many uses for them.

For now, grab them in my store -> HERE.  They are $61 Aus  Please use the Host Code: Q6XB6QR6

SIMPLE BEAUTY ABOUNDS PAIR!

Stampin’ Up! is all about simple stamping at the moment.  I find that a bit hard but I needed to make some quick cards the other day so I went with some simple stamping.

This Beauty Abounds set is a lovely one.  I love the Bokeh style dots.  You can create some fun, whimsical cards with this.

Colours are Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green and Memento Black.  I stamped a butterfly on scrap white and coloured it with the Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends then fussy cut it out.

You could do a lot with this set.  I have seen some lovely samples online so I need a little more play with it I think. 🙂

It is available as a Bundle with the gorgeous Butterfly Beauty Thinlits for $97.  You can buy the stamps alone for $40.

Available in my store now -> HERE.
