WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #90 – SHINY DIECUTS!

Wednesday’s WOW! #90 – creating shiny diecuts.¬† This is something really cool I just realised. Maybe you already know.¬† This is how you can make your diecuts shiny – and not using the shiny Foil or sparkling Glimmer Paper.¬† It’s very easy.

Firstly, diecut your shape.¬† Here I used the leaf shape from the Christmas Layers Dies.¬† Rub over the diecut with Versamark, Sprinkle over the Clear Embossing Powder and heat the powder with your Heat Tool.¬† See the shine develop.¬† It’s always magical isn’t it when you see that powder melt away.¬† If you want to take it a step further you could add some glitter in with it to really make it sparkle.¬† How cool!

I have given you an image below that you can PIN to Pinterest so you can then come back to anytime to remember this fun little technique.

Below is the finished card.

I had a small piece of the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper.¬† Before I adhered this to the white card mat I stamped over some “spots” from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set and then embossed the white card with the Subtles Embossing Powder.¬† It is a little hard to see.¬†

Add a small strip of the Copper Foil behind your Brightly Gleaming paper strip too before adding it to the card. Adhere the leaf spray on to the white card and then add this to the Pretty Peacock card base.  The sentiment is from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set stamped on to white card and that was cut out.  All finished with a Copper Star Embellishment and some of the Classic Weave Ribbon added with a glue dot.

Here is a close-up of the shine on the leaf spray.  I have to say this card was so hard to take a photograph of with the shine from the Copper in the paper and the shine on the leaf spray.  I hope you get enough of an idea anyway.

Try this idea out for yourself.

Happy Stamping,

Jenny

#ELFIE PAIR!

I have to say the little #Elfie set is kinda cute don’t you think.

Recently I stamped up a few images when I visited a friend and just managed to colour them and make up the cards on the weekend.  I thought I would show you.

I had some “bits” of the Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper hanging around and thought I should try and use those rather than cut in to another full piece.¬† The Wrapped in Plaid Paper does have Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce colours in it but I think the Real Red colour still works well with it.¬† ¬†The images were coloured with the Stampin’ Blends.¬†

For the first one I cut down some of the strips of the paper to add them to the white card mat.  I added some sparkly Red Glimmer Paper and the Real Red Satin Ribbon.  The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set.

This next one I added a small strip of the Gold Foil behind the paper and layered it on to a Real Red Card mat.  The stamped image was cut with the Rectangles Stitched dies.  I think the sentiment is appropriate for this cute elf.  This is from the Itty Bitty Christmas set too and it was layered with the Gold Foil Diecut frame from the Ornate Frames Dies.

Hope you like these cute elfies.

See the other cute images in the stamp set -> HERE.

Have a great day,

Jenny

WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #89 – TAGS, TAGS, TAGS!

Wednesday’s WOW! #89.¬† I have a cool new bundle to share with you today that I just discovered about.¬† It’s the Tags, Tags, Tags Bundle in the Holiday Catalogue.¬† Really I am a little slow sometimes.¬† Perhaps you haven’t noticed it yourself so I thought I would tell you about it.

The Tags, Tags, Tags Bundle is on p56.  There are 9 images in the stamp set on 3 stamps.  They are connected together. The 3 tags are cut at one time with the Trio die.  How cool is that! A bit of a time-saver.

Each tag die is a different shape.  And you could use these tags dies for any of your other sentiments that fit in the shape.  I love the shapes of them and one is stitched!

I really overlooked these dies. Did you?

Here is a closer look at how they cut.¬† These are using the Valentine’s stamps in the set but you get the idea.

While we don’t celebrate Halloween here or even Valentine’s Day all that much, the Christmas stamps are really sweet, but really those dies!!

What about some ideas from the catalogue of how to use these little tags.

Some more samples.  You could use these on cards not just tags.

If you want to check the Youtube video out to show these more clearly then head -> HERE.

If you want to see them in my store and/or order then head -> HERE.

If ordering please use the Host Code:3F2MRZYP

Also, Don’t forget there are only a few days left to go in the draw to win a new Stampin’ Up! Paper Trimmer.

Thanks for visiting me.  I love your visits,

Happy Stamping,

Jenny

WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #88 – CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN PROJECT KIT!

It’s Wednesday.¬† Time for another Wednesday’s WOW!¬† Since Christmas it fast approaching I thought we would look at a fun Christmas project – the Christmas Countdown Project Kit. The kit contains the box elements and all the supplies to create 25 boxes.

You can see this kit in action in this video.

So what could you use this for yourself other than Christmas?¬† Maybe a Birthday Countdown,¬† Countdown to a special holiday,¬† Perhaps a rewards box with treats in it for your young children in the family or at school for a teacher.¬† Or some people have used this in the craft room for storage of those small embellishments or punch-outs.¬† And you can dress it up any way you like.¬† Don’t be limited to the supplies in the kit.

If you would like to see some more creativity with this kit head to my Pinterest board -> HERE.

WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #85 – REVERSIBLE CUP OF CHRISTMAS!

Wednesday’s WOW! #85 – Did you know there are reversible stamps?¬† That’s what we will check out in this post.¬† The Cup Of Christmas stamp set – which is reversible.

This is the Cup of Christmas stamp set. You can find it on p34 of the Holiday Catalogue. I love the font on the sentiments. The really clever part of this stamp set though is that the cups are reversible. You can stamp either side of the stamp.

I wasn’t sure how it would really work.¬† If you are like me check this video out to see it close up.

Here is a graphic taken from the Catalogue.  Pin it so you can have reference to it later.

How about some fun samples using this stamp set.  Have the cup facing either way.  How cool!

I wonder what other reversible stamps Stampin’ Up! might come up with??¬† We will have to see.

You can grab your Cup of Christmas set and experiment with the cups yourself.

Grab it in my store now -> HERE.

PLAYFUL PENGUINS TRIO!

I have been sharing some cards with the Playful Penguins stamp set and I had shared these cards very briefly but thought I would share them individually with you today.

It’s a Penguin Parade for this card above.¬† To highlight one of the penguins I stamped the scarf in Shaded Spruce and raised that up off the card.¬† I love that the sentiment from Itty Bitty Christmas fits nicely between the penguins.

One sole penguin but doesn’t it make it elegant with the flourish die from the Ornate Frames Dies.

This penguin is feeling hopeful under the mistletoe.  This was cut using one of the dies in the Christmas Layers Dies.  These are very versatile dies that you could use for any occasion.

Which card do you like the best?¬† I can’t choose.¬† I just think this set is the cutest.

Thanks for visiting me and seeing these cute penguins today,

Jenny
