WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #90 – SHINY DIECUTS!

Wednesday’s WOW! #90 – creating shiny diecuts.  This is something really cool I just realised. Maybe you already know.  This is how you can make your diecuts shiny – and not using the shiny Foil or sparkling Glimmer Paper.  It’s very easy.

Firstly, diecut your shape.  Here I used the leaf shape from the Christmas Layers Dies.  Rub over the diecut with Versamark, Sprinkle over the Clear Embossing Powder and heat the powder with your Heat Tool.  See the shine develop.  It’s always magical isn’t it when you see that powder melt away.  If you want to take it a step further you could add some glitter in with it to really make it sparkle.  How cool!

I have given you an image below that you can PIN to Pinterest so you can then come back to anytime to remember this fun little technique.

Below is the finished card.

I had a small piece of the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Before I adhered this to the white card mat I stamped over some “spots” from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set and then embossed the white card with the Subtles Embossing Powder.  It is a little hard to see.

Add a small strip of the Copper Foil behind your Brightly Gleaming paper strip too before adding it to the card. Adhere the leaf spray on to the white card and then add this to the Pretty Peacock card base.  The sentiment is from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set stamped on to white card and that was cut out.  All finished with a Copper Star Embellishment and some of the Classic Weave Ribbon added with a glue dot.

Here is a close-up of the shine on the leaf spray.  I have to say this card was so hard to take a photograph of with the shine from the Copper in the paper and the shine on the leaf spray.  I hope you get enough of an idea anyway.

Try this idea out for yourself.

Happy Stamping,

Jenny

COPPER CHRISTMAS TREE!

I realised I hadn’t shared this card with you.  We made this at our team meeting a couple of months ago. Thanks to Vanessa Webb for creating it and sharing it with us.

This is using the Perfectly Plaid set in the Holiday Catalogue and the Pine Tree Punch.

The Plaid tree was stamped with Pretty Peacock directly on to the Vanilla card base. The other tree was heat embossed in Copper on to Night of Navy card and punched out with the Pine Tree Punch. This tree is raised up with Dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Most Wonderful Time stamp set and heat embossed in Copper. A little star is added from the Brightly Gleaming Foil Elements. At the top tie around some Night of Navy Baker’s Twine.

You can’t forget the gorgeous Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper. Add a strip along the bottom with a strip of Night of Navy card.

Hope you like it??

Have a wonderful week. I hope that you have got a start on your Christmas Cards already.

Happy Stamping,

Jenny

CHRISTMAS GLEAMING HOLLY!

A couple of weeks ago on my Facebook and Instagram I shared a photo of holly that I was colouring.  I finished the card and thought I would show you now.

The holly was watecoloured using the Aquapainter and the ink refill. The card was inspired by a card in the catalogue (p30).  I changed mine a little but I have to say I was really happy how the holly turned out as I am not great at colouring.

Some of the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Paper was layered on to the Pretty Peacock card base before assembling the rest of the card.

The white rectangle was cut with a rectangle from the Rectangles Stitched Dies. You don’t need much to the rest of the card with the gorgeous Brightly Gleaming Specialty paper.  I punched an ornament out from the paper and the other one was stamped with one of the ornaments in the Christmas Gleaming stamp set on to Pretty Peacock card and punched out. What about the cute little Copper Star Designer Elements??

Glad that I can show you the finished card finally.  Hope you like it.

Happy Stamping,

Jenny

HOT CHOCOLATE BAR CATALOGUE REVIEW!

A few weeks ago now I had the catalogue launch for the 2019 Holiday Catalogue.  I decided on a Hot Chocolate Bar for it.  Since Christmas is so hot here it’s not the time for Hot Chocolate.  Actually it had been quite hot the days leading up to the weekend so it was a bit ironic.  On the day though the weather cooled down.  It was a lot of fun and always so nice for everyone to see what is out for their Christmas creating.

I thought I would share a little bit of it with you.

Firstly, since it was a Hot Chocolate Bar I made up the little gifts in take-away coffee cups.  I know they are not environmentally friendly but I had these sitting around so why not use them.

They were decorated with the snowflake from the Christmas Layers Dies from the Dazzling Glimmer Paper.  It is a bit hard to see the sparkle.  How gorgeous is that Cherry Cobbler Diagonal stripe Ribbon.

The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Christmas set but check the frame.  You might actually miss these in the catalogue.  They are created with the Ornate Frames Dies from Shaded Spruce card and then a Cherry Cobber Scallop square from the Layering Squares Dies.

See it here closer.

In the cups I had some ribbon and little embellishments and of course the obligatory chocolate treat. 🙂

We made 2 cards on the day.  I will show you one today and then another tomorrow.

We used the Brightly Gleaming Suite for the cards.

The card above is quite simple really but it looks quite classy with the gorgeous shiny copper accents on the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper and the sparkly Star Designer Elements. The Copper Foil was embossed with the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder.  Doesn’t that look a cool effect.

When I made the card originally I made a small gift tag up with some “bits” left over.  It’s good to have a matching tag.

The Classic Weave Ribbon is gorgeous with the embossed copper words on it.

I will show you the other card next time.

Until then, why not stop on by my store and check out all the Brightly Gleaming items in the suite. HEAD -> HERE.

SUNDAY SUITES – BRIGHTLY GLEAMING!

Now that the Holiday Catalogue is live we can share some of the suites from this catalogue.  Of course, I will be visiting the Annual Catalogue still as there is still so much to look at.

Today’s Sunday Suite is the Brightly Gleaming Suite.  I think this is my favourite from the catalogue.  Maybe it’s the shine and the gorgeous papers. Let’s look at them.

This is all that is included in the Brightly Gleaming Bundle.  So much shine and sparkle. 🙂

With one item code you can order the lot which is so much easier.  $169.25 AUD #153467

The complete Brightly Gleaming Suite Bundle includes:

* Christmas Gleaming Cling Stamp Set (10% off)
* Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack (10% off)
* Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder
* Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper
* 1/2″ (1.3 cm) Classic Weave Ribbon
* Star Designer Elements
* Brightly Gleaming Foil Elements

This is the Christmas Gleaming Bundle with the stamp set and punch pack. $86.25 AUD #153006

BUT, you need to check the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The catalogue really doesn’t show the shine enough.

The colours in this pack are Copper Foil, Mossy Meadow, Night of Navy, Pretty Peacock, Very Vanilla.  This pack is so versatile though.  Some of those prints can be used for any occasion not just Christmas.

Ok, you need to check the paper out closer.  See it in the video below.

Included in this suite is this gorgeous ribbon. The Very Vanilla/Copper Classic Weave Ribbon.  Great for wrapping around your gifts or for tags or cards.

What about some projects.  These are ones featured in the catalogue.  I have lots I have been creating with it and I will be sharing those with you this week.

Isn’t that Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder cool??

Now on this card below the stamp set is not in the Suite but it works great with the Gleaming Ornaments Punches so I thought I would add that in for you. This is the Memories of Home stamp set.

So what do you think of this Suite? Have you got any of these products yet?

See it all in store now -> HERE.  If ordering, please use the Host Code: 6F6336UW
