I started making this sign before Christmas at a team meeting and as usual hadn’t finished it. I put it aside and actually forgot about it. When I was clearing up things the other week I found it and thought it must get finished. So yesterday, although it was Mother’s Day here I did get some time to indulge in a little creating for me and got about doing it.
I thought you might like to see it. Nothing fancy but I thought it would be nice to hang in my studio to welcome all the lovely stampers that come along to classes.
This is using the Eclipse technique with the Large Letters Framelits and the Touches of Texture.
This is the length of an A4 sheet of white but I have cut the width to about 15cm (6″) I think. I backed the Whisper White card on some thick card from the Foil Sheets packaging we get and then backed that on some Silver Foil.
I think I will add some sparkle with the Wink of Stella pen??
I have classes several times per month in the Wollongong area so come along, and bonus – you can see this in real life and get to have some creative fun with all my other lovely stampers. 🙂
Thanks for visiting,
You might have seen this project in the past week. This was made for my Mother’s Day class this weekend. It was a bit hard to see the card so I thought I would show you a little closer view. Plus it is an opportunity to just take a minute to wish all the Mummies a Happy Mother’s Day. Whether you are a mummy to humans or to furry creatures or an “adopted” mummy to young ones. I wish you a wonderful day. Be sure to take some time to put your feet up, maybe indulge in a little creativity just for yourself. However you spend it, Have a great day. xx
Onto the card.
It’s quite a simple card but I think the paper is the star. This is the gorgeous Share What You Love Designer Series Paper. It is so shiny although you may not be able to see it. I love the colours. Ooh! Mint Macaron is back!!! The white card is stamped with some of the small images from the Love What You Do stamp set. The sentiment is from the You’re Inspiring set. You could easily substitute a Happy Birthday which is what I did in one of the cards I made in classes this weekend.
The sentiment piece and the Silver Foil backing is cut from the Layering Oval Framelits and I added some loops of Silver Thread. It makes such a nice “extra” to a card. The paper doily is from the current Lace Paper Doilies.
The Share What You Love is available as bundles as an early release now. I mentioned that a couple of posts back so just pop back one or 2 posts. All these will be available individually in the upcoming 2018 Catalogue on June 1st.
I will be off but thanks for stopping by. Have a great day xx

I have a little trick for you today for Wednesday’s WOW! this week. I discovered this on my blog travels a couple of weeks ago and have been pondering the idea since so I thought I would share it with you.
WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #19 – Making Banner ends with the Tailored Tag Punch.
The Tailored Tag Punch featured in the Occasions Catalogue is not just great for punching around sentiments and adding to your cards BUT did you know that it is a handy, dandy little punch to create Banner ends in any size. How cool is that!
I will show you below.
Just slip your card strip into your punch with just the end showing in the angled section on one side. Be sure to centre the piece first, then punch. If you are a little unsure that you will line it up in the centre then you can mark the centre with a pencil. For the 2 ended banner I marked the centre on both ends so I would be sure that both ends would be aligned.
Create the banners for your sentiment pieces, or you can make a banner and add a sentiment on a separate piece of card to layer on top.
I hope you find this tip very useful.

I will keep you up to date with all the Stampin’ Up! news and it can be a great place to ask questions and share ideas.
Do you want to know the most exciting part?
You can join in ‘Share a Card Sunday’ where it’s your turn to shine. Sundays is the day for you to share your own creations and get cheered along by everyone there. It is a positive group so don’t be shy. Occasionally we will have giveaways too.
So come and join in the fun. Head to my Facebook group -> HERE and ask to join.
I look forward to welcoming you there.
Continuing on with Watercoloured landscapes scenes I have this card to share with you. This card is one we will be doing at classes this weekend but I thought I would share it with you. I found this landscape scene on Pinterest and thought I would try to recreate it. See what you think of the card with the original photo??
I used the Waterfront set to create the mountains and land and stamped the trees. The lake and the sky are watercoloured with the Inkpads and Aquapainter.
Here is the finished card.
I kept the card simple. With these cards you don’t want to cover up all the scene with a big sentiment or lots of fuss. The sentiment is from Sprinkles of Life.
I have 3 sessions of classes this weekend so I hope they enjoy making this card and another 2. I wish you could join us. 🙂
I will be back tomorrow though with another card. This one is back to some simple stamping with the set.
It’s great having a card on hand when Birthdays come around – And we all need birthday cards right!
In a Stamp A Stack you create 6 cards. We will be making 2 each of 3 designs just right for Birthdays These are just 2 of them.
