CHRISTMAS TREAT BOX!

In a post or 2 back I showed you a cute little Christmas Treat Box and I said then that I would show you how I made it.  I thought I would tell you about it today. It is so quick to make and seriously you can make up a number of these in no time.

Here is the box if you forgot – and to save you going back a couple of posts.  You can go back if you like to though. 🙂 You can see all the other fun projects I shared from my Holiday Catalogue Review too while you are there.

christmas-box

These are so Christmas-y.  These are called “SEVENS” boxes.  WHY? Well it is all in the measurements.  I have made a number of these over the years.  I like how quick they are to make and you can fit a fair amount of treats inside.

I  will tell you the measurements and then give you a link to the original creator for the assembly of the box.  On that blog post it doesn’t have Imperial measurements so I have put created one for you my lovely friends if you use Imperial Measurements. 🙂

SEVENS BOX (Metric)

Using a full sheet of A4 card, score your card.  On the short side score at 7cm and 14cm. On the long side score at 7cm, 14cm, 21cm and 28cm.

Rather than relay the cutting and assembling of the box you can refer to the original blog post which you can find HERE at Marelle’s blog.

2 AND A HALFER BOX (Imperial)

It doesn’t really have the same ring to it as a “SEVENS” box does it but it would be a bit odd to call it that!).

NB: Please try this on scrap paper first before creating it on card to see that the measurements are correct.  This will be a slightly smaller box that the “SEVENS” box but still a good size.

Cut your card to 10 3/4″ x 7 1/2″.  On the short side score at 2 1/2″ and 5″.  On the long side score at 2 1/2″, 5″, 7 1/2″ and 10″. Cut and Assemble the box as in the link in the Metric measurements above.

Once you have made one I don’t think you will stop.

Enjoy. 🙂

FAIR PROJECTS UPDATE!!

Last week was a very busy week.  I had 3 markets/fair events.  It was great seeing some familiar faces and meeting up with new people.  I thought I would share some of the projects I made for the markets.  Having 3 in the week was interesting also to see just how different things sold.  So I will let you know about that too.

A little while ago I picked up some lip balm balls and sticks reduced at a local store so I grabbed those to make some cute holders for them.

P1170781

The tutorial to make your own Lip Balm Boxes can be found HERE.  They are so quick to make.

Here are some tiny Lip Balm Purses.  Both of these created some interest.

P1170785

Here is a close-up from the side. (sorry I realised I hadn’t met the tops together neatly before I took the photo!)

P1170787

These are cute little purses. It was great to use up some retired papers too. You can make your own from the tutorial HERE.

Now I made these fun little packs too.  There is a cute  poem on the back of them and I forgot to take a photo of these.  I will add them below.

P1170780

The Reindeer Poop was very popular at one event at a school.  It appealed to some boys sense of humour, or was it that there was no other chocolate sold there at the time?? 😉  I made some more bags up but then I didn’t sell one bag at that craft fair. You never know!

Here are the poems. I found these on Pinterest.

REINDEER FOOD

Just Sprinkle on the lawn at night,

The moon will make it sparkle bright.

As Santa’s reindeer fly and roam,

This treat will guide them to your home.

REINDEER POOP

I heard that you’ve been naughty,

So here’s the inside scoop,

All you get for Christmas,

Is this bag of Reindeer Poop!

I have more to show you but that is enough for one post.  Pop back again and I will show you some more in the next post.

12 WEEKS OF CHRISTMAS – WEEK 3!

Latte 12 weeks Header

We have another project in our 12 Weeks of Christmas series today. This project is brought to you by Narelle.   Check this project out for your Christmas entertaining.  This is a lovely Table Setting.

christmas setting

This table setting consists of a cutlery bag, a bonbon and a name place card.  I think these would really dress up your Christmas table and make it something special.
Here are some photos of the individual items and also some videos showing how to make the key components. For full instructions and a complete list of supplies, please email me for a detailed pdf.

CUTLERY BAG

cutlery bag

I just love this Cutlery Bag. I know you could just put the cutlery on the table next to the plates, but that would be boring, right ? Making this bag gives you a reason to create and show off a little to your guests. I am sure they will be appreciative of the effort you went to and the table will look so festive and special.

Here are a couple of videos showing you how to make the rosettes.

BON BON

bon bon

Bon Bons are a fun thing to have at Christmas time aren’t they?? The cute hat and funny jokes and the little novelty inside. But once they are pulled apart they are thrown away. With these Bon Bons not only are they a lot of fun but they will look pretty having them on the table. The bonus of these is that you can fill them with wrapped chocolates or something as an extra treat, and the guests get to keep them as a memento of a wonderful gathering with family and friends.

Here is a video how you can make them.

NAME PLACE CARD

name place card

Can you see this on your Christmas Table this year?? It would make all your guests feel pretty special.

FESTIVE FLURRY WORKSHOP CARD!

It’s been a bit quiet here don’t you think?? Well don’t you worry I haven’t been sitting around doing nothing.  Life is at a super crazy pace.  With the end of year activities, Christmas preparations and family stuff there hasn’t been a lot of time to stop.  I have hardly been on the computer at all! It’s late but I thought I should share something this week.  This is a card we have been doing at my parties over the last month or so using the very popular ‘Festive Flurry’ set and the popular Christmas colours this year of Island Indigo and Pool Party.  It is simply stamping and layering the different sized snowflakes.

P1100169

For the bling factor I added a large Rhinestone to the centre. The greeting is from ‘More Merry Messages’ which is on the Carry-over list.

One time when I made this card I stamped the wrong size snowflakes. Ooops!! Not to worry.  No point wasting them.  I just created another card layering them in a different way.

P1100172

I will be back soon.  I have some fun projects that I can’t wait to share with you.  I think after this weekend things might be a little clearer – maybe – hopefully!!

Come and visit soon and check it all out.  Have a great weekend everyone. 🙂

For my US visitors, I hope you have had a wonderful Thanksgiving spent with your lovely family and friends.

xx

MERRY MINIS CHRISTMAS

Happy Thursday to you.  I made this card a couple of weeks ago.  This was CASED off Pinterest and was originally done by Tamara from tamaraspapertrail.blogspot.ca.  I thought it was a bright, fun card to make. Something different to what I have been creating lately.   I used the Artisan Label punch though where she used the scallop square punch.  The little punches are from the Merry Minis Punch set.  Aren’t they cute!!  Lots of ways to use these little punches.  The base card is Whisper White and then a layer of Real Red and then Whisper White.  The greeting is from ‘Wishing You’.

P1100526

Thanks for stopping by.  I have lots more that I have been creating.  Just to find the time to take photos and I can share them with you.

Come and visit again soon.  Don’t forget to say Hi though and tell me where you are from.  I would love to hear from you.

LET’S CATCH UP – THINLETS AND AN ENVELOPE PUNCH BOARD!

I am a little behind with my blogging lately.  Life is busy and with Josh studying on the computer a lot at the moment with the HSC I have had little access to the computer. BUT I am here now.  Just squeezing in a little time while he is still in bed!

By now you would have known about the wonderful new products released just this past week.  I thought I would show you what I have been doing with them.

Firstly, have you seen the new Thinlets Card dies??? These make fun, interactive cards in no time.  Check them out.

thinlits_flyerTH_demo_10.13_SP

These come in the Labels shape or  the circle and come with lots of other fun bits to add to your cards.  They are $55.95.  I had a chance to play with Leonie’s circle thinlets the other day as I am still waiting on mine to arrive.  (Thank you Leonie). Here is a fun, birthday card to create.

 P1100508

P1100509

I have used the set ‘Sketched Birthday’ and the paper is from ‘Birthday Basics’.  This is really a great pack of paper.  I think it gets lost in the catalogue.  Leonie kindly gave me a piece.  (Thanks again Leonie!!!).  You are a star 🙂

I think it was the 1 3/4″ circle punch I used to punch the circle in Summer Starfruit card and the Whisper White scallop circle is the 1 3/4″ scallop circle.  I added a little bling to this too.

P1100489

Now on to the Envelope Punch Board.  I have been having so much fun with this new little gadget. You MUST have one of these.  Not only does it cut up to 66 different size envelopes BUT there are so many other fun boxes and projects you can do with it PLUS it has a corner rounder punch on it if you need one for any of your projects.

Demo_Header_EnvelopePunch

Here are some little treat pouches I have been making with them.

P1100493

Made with the ‘Sweater Weather DSP’ and ‘Label Love’ stamp set.  I added a little Burlap Ribbon. Add a little treat and this might be a good one for the men in your life???

How about a Christmas one with the ‘Season of Style’ DSP.

P1100492

The label is from ‘Chalk Talk’ and stamped in Gumball Green.  The ornament is one from the ‘Best of Christmas’ sets and stamped in Cherry Cobbler.  You could add ribbon and hang these in the Christmas tree with a special Christmas treat.  These are the right size to hold a Gift card.  If you want to make one you can use the Gift card size shown on the Envelope Punch Board.  The original idea came from Angie over at Chic N Scratch here.

Here is a little sneak of another project I created using the Envelope Punch Board.  If you are on my Facebook Business page you would have already seen it.  (BTW: You can click on the link in the right hand column and ‘LIKE’ my page to see my projects I show there).  I will show you the rest of this project in the new few days.

P1100482

So I hope you grab yourself the Thinlets Cards Dies AND the Envelope Punch Board.  I can tell you they are essential 😉

Have a good day however you spend it.

CHOCOLATE TREE!!

Ok, one more Christmas creation before New Year.  I just really wanted to show you this one. I found the tutorial for these recently on Brenda’s blog here.  It is really clever. Just after I saw this I found the Kisses and Mini Hershey bars at a local discount store.  I was so excited because they are really hard to come by here and YAY! now I could make them!!

Here is my Chocolate Tree.

P1070495

Here is a view from the top.

P1070496

Do you like it? Once you get the folding right for the triangles in the middle they are really easy.  They would make a really nice gift to give at Christmas.  A bit late for this year but maybe file the idea away for next year!!!

Wishing you a Very Happy 2013.  Stay safe as you celebrate.  I want you all to be healthy and well for another year of creating and sharing.

See you next year!

How was your Christmas?  I hope you had a lovely day.  They weather changed considerably here yesterday with rain and much cooler temperatures.  This changed our plans a bit but it all worked out.  Nothing like coziness with all the family on Christmas Day!!!
