TEAM SHOEBOX SWAP – DAY 4!

OK, Today is my last sharing from our recent Team stamp day with Shoebox Swap cards.  I have a few various ones for you.

This one below is using that gorgeous Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut paper.  I have shown lots of cards using this paper recently.  For this card you don’t need much more than backing a section of the paper on to a strip of black card and adhering it to your white base card.  It makes it look so elegant don’t you think??  I think from memory the sentiment banner is a strip of white card and using the small circle punch to notch out each corner.

This next one is a fun fold.  Adhere a strip of the lovely paper, this one is the Nature’s Poem DSP, down the left hand side of the front of your card.  Punch a slit using the Classic Label Punch on the side of the card front.  You need to punch it twice to be sure that the dragonfly fits through. Punch it once near the top, then slide it down a little bit and line it up with the previous punch and punch it again.  A dragonfly from the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits was cut from Vellum and also from Cajun Craze.

This is the inside of the card.  The sentiments are from Better Together set.  It’s a cool card.

This card uses the lovely Love What You Do set, the Share What You Love paper and the Lovely Floral Embossing Folder.

This is a cute little treat bag below.  It is very quick to make up.  This is based on Pootles bag -> HERE.

I hope you have so enjoyed these little projects from our team day.  We are getting ready for another get together in the next few weeks.  Hopefully I don’t take as long to share those with you. 😉

Hope your weekend is going awesomely.

SHADOW STAMPING WITH ONE FOR ALL SET!

I have one more card to share with you today using the One For All set.  I had wanted to try the Shadow Stamping Technique for a while but just never got around to it as yet.  I thought this set might be fun to try this with.

For this card I stamped the girl on the bike on Crumb Cake card stock in White Craft Ink. I used the Stamparatus to do this although you can do it without it.  I wanted to use it in case my White stamped image didn’t stamp out too clearly I could restamp it.  I lined the card up on to some grid paper on the base of the Stamparatus and stamped the image.  See it below. Sorry lighting isn’t great.

After I left it to dry for a bit I then slid the card about 2-3mm to the left.  (or it would be about 1/8″).  I kept it lined up with the Grid Paper too so I knew it would be straight.

I cleaned the stamp with a shammy and then inked it with Flirty Flamingo ink and stamped it again.  It created a cool effect. I think maybe I don’t need to move it quite so far.  Perhaps I will try this again and just move it slightly.

To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment in black in the right hand corner.  I adhered the Crumb Cake card mat to a Flirty Flamingo card mat and then to a Thick White Card base.  I was toying with the idea of adding some ribbon or twine then spotted the borders on the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut paper.  So I added one of the triangular border strips.  To finish the card I added a flower in Flirty Flamingo cut from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits and added a Rhinestone in the centre.

It is a simple card but I think I will have to try this technique out again very soon.

That’s the last of the cards for the One For All set.  I will be back with more though later.  I have so many more ideas in mind.

Have an awesome weekend wherever you may be.  May it be a crafting weekend for you.  I am hoping to anyway. 🙂

SOME CARD LOVE!

I don’t often share personal things here on my blog as I don’t like to toot my horn but this is Stampin’ Up! related – and it is very exciting for me.

For those who follow me on Facebook and Instagram will know that recently I achieved a HUGE milestone.  It was a big goal and for the most part out of my control.  As a Demonstrator we can achieve different titles.  This one has alluded me for 3 years.  Although I had the team and the sales for some time I needed some other factors to come in to play. Anyway, last month I did it! I made Silver Elite.

It might not be big for you and you may not really care what the fuss is but for me this is big! Thank you to my customers and my team for helping me along the way – and for your support.  I received my certificate yesterday in the mail which was exciting.  Always good to receive Happy Mail. I also received some other Happy Mail this past week and that is what I wanted to share with you today.  I received 2 special cards.

The first one was from my Upline Vanessa.  This is using the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut paper that I have been sharing lately but this is one of the other patterns from the pack.

This card was a lovely surprise.  This is from one of my blog readers who has become a dear friend, Ruth.  It was even in my favourite colour too.  This is using the Love What You Do set with lots of lovely shiny silver embossed features.  Thanks so much Ruth x

Thanks for indulging me.  Thanks everyone for your love and support and visiting me often. ❤

See you again tomorrow.

DELIGHTFUL GORGEOUS GRAPE!

OK, I know I said I would share my projects from my Catalogue Showcase from last weekend and I will but I have one more card with the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut paper while we are on that topic.  I hope you are not sick of them. I just have this one I wanted to share with you and then I will move on.  I will come back to this paper down the track though don’t you worry. 🙂

I had a small section of the Laser-Cut paper and thought I would add it to a tag.  When I did do that I found that the paper was so fine that it really should be on a card to support it a little more.  SO, I added the tag to a card. A Gorgeous Grape one at that.  This is a new colour and I think I like it!

The white card is embossed with the new Tufted Embossing Folder.  Have you noticed that in the catalogue?  It is a little hard to see it.  It is like a quilted effect you might say.  What about that gorgeous Mini Striped Gorgeous Grape ribbon.

Now have you added this paper to your Wish List yet?? Or better still added it to your shopping cart??? I think you need to.

Order it Online in my store -> HERE now.  Please use the Host Code: PUB9TYMG

OR contact me directly to order.  (Australian residents only).

WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #28 – DELIGHTFULLY DETAILED!

I have been sharing a lot of cards that I have made recently using the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut paper.  (if You haven’t seen them then pop by the last couple of posts). Since it is Wednesday it is time for Wednesday’s WOW! I have a Youtube video from Stampin’ Up! using the Delightfully Detailed Suite.  You might like to see particularly how to cut the lovely paper.  (The details on the paper start at about 2.07).

View it below. (If you receive this via email then head directly to the blog post by clicking the heading above and viewing it there).

I shared more details to cut the floral paper in an earlier post too but just as a little review.  You can cut it in sections by carefully snipping around the flowers and leaves. When you want to cut between them they may be slightly narrower overall there but you hardly notice.  You may sacrifice one or 2 in the process.  Also, I laid a card base beside the section I wanted to cut to have an idea of the size.

These are some of the projects shared in the video.

If you notice the scrap page above I took that and was inspired to create this next card on the left using Mint Macaron.

The smaller card is 10cm x 10cm (4″x4″) size.  It is just a simple card using an off-cut (don’t waste it!).

I am loving this paper.  I do hope you grab this paper yourself.  It makes really quick cards in no time – and gorgeous at that!

Thanks for stopping by,

Jenny

CATALOGUE SHOWCASE EVENTS!

I had my 2018 Catalogue Showcase over the weekend.  I still have one more to go tomorrow. I thought I would show you just some photos from it.

With all the new changes I wanted to feature many of the new colours.

Below is a display with some new products. I will show more of these cards in later posts.

Some Delightfully Detailed Laser-cut paper samples. I have been sharing some of these samples recently. (some things get a little messy over the time with lots of touching and feeling.  It’s nice everyone enjoys them).

Some serious concentration from one of the groups while they create and study the catalogue. (They were having fun).

Tomorrow I will show you the projects we made.

BLUEBERRY BUSHEL DELIGHTFULLY DETAILED!

This card I have for you today is another one using the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Designer Series Paper.  This one is similar in layout to the one I showed you yesterday but this one is in Landscape orientation. Also, this one is showing the white side of the paper.

The sentiment is from Eastern Beauty stamp set again.  This time layered on a scallop cut with the Layering Circles Framelits from Silver Foil.  The Blueberry Bushel mat that the diecut was adhered to was then adhered to a piece of Whisper White card mat and then adhered to the card base.

I mentioned some tips in cutting this paper in yesterday’s post but I forgot to mention how I adhere them down on to the card.  For mine I added really small drops of the Multipurpose adhesive.  I found it helped by adding a “blob” of the adhesive on to scrap paper or on to the silicone mat.  Then picked up a little with the small tip of the adhesive bottle to dab it down on to your piece.  That was better in case when I squeezed the bottle I got a great big dollop on my project.  Not pretty!

More to come with this delicate paper.  Thanks for visiting.

MERRY MERLOT DELIGHTFULLY DETAILED PAIR!

Have you seen the gorgeous Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Designer Series Paper?  Just beautiful!  I have been creating with this paper this week and thought I would show you.  I have made lots so watch out for the next few posts.

Firstly about this paper: this Designer Series Paper comes in 8 light-weight sheets and delicately cut.  There are 4 each of 2 designs.  One is the lovely floral patterns and the other design is frames and borders.  They are Vanilla on one side and White on the other side so you can choose depending on your project.

You can cut the patterns out to use them.  I used the floral design and cut various sections of the paper.  You can see it below.  It does take time to cut it but I think it is worth it.  JUST A TIP: I laid a base card near the section where I was cutting so I could see what size to cut it out to.  This was better than just randomly cutting and I can see how the sections fitted on the card as I went.

For these cards I went with one of the new colours – Merry Merlot.

I used the Vanilla side of the paper for these cards.  You don’t need to add much to the cards.  The sentiment is from Eastern Beauty set.  I used the Layering Circles Framelits to cut the vanilla circle and a scallop one in Copper Foil.

This card below was inspired by a card I received this week from my upline – Vanessa.  I made mine to a standard size card adding one of the detailed flowers at the top of the Very Vanilla card base.  The sentiment from Southern Serenade is stamped on a square of Very Vanilla card and then layered on a square cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  I added some loops of Copper Thread and also Adhesive Pearl around.

I have more cards to come with this paper so check back in very soon.
