ONSTAGE SWAP #1 – GEARED UP GARAGE!

As you might know I went to New Zealand recently for the Stampin’ Up! Onstage Live event.  It was a fantastic time.  You know what I love the most about these events?? Sure we get the new catalogue and we get to see the awesome new products BUT, THE BEST part of it is catching up with my Stampin’ Up! friends and meeting many for the first time.  Especially when you have chatted online.  It’s a fantastic time.

I will share more about Onstage shortly and show you some photos but for now I thought I would show you my Swap cards.  With swapping you create a number of a card and swap them with others. Swapping is a great time to meet up with other Demonstrators too. You get to come home with lots of different cards and ideas.

I made 2 different cards.  This is one of the cards I made.  It uses the Geared Up Garage Bundle.  I have shared lots of cards with this bundle over the last week or 2 while I was away.  It’s fitting that I share you this one first.

I made 3 different versions of this card.  Good to mix it up a bit when you make so many.  I embossed the card mat with the gear dies in the Garage Gears Thinlits and used the Classic Garage Designer Series Paper.  The sentiment was stamped and cut with the Bunch of Banners dies.

See the background?? I created this with the smooshing technique.  You can see how to create this effect in this post -> HERE.

I will share the other swap card next post so stay tuned.

GEARED UP GARAGE FOR FATHER’S DAY!

I know Father’s Day is a way off.  In Australia we celebrate it in September.  You might like to file this card away for later OR change the sentiment and it would work for other occasions.

The sentiment was stamped with Stazon on to Silver Foil Sheets.  It is important to use Stazon as the foil is slippery.  The foil adds a little shine to the card too.  It was cut with the Garage Gear Thinlits. I just looped some Silver thread on to the back of the piece and raised that up off the card.  I added a Classic Garage Metal Element.  I find the best way to adhere these to your card is with a Glue Dot.

This Geared Up Garage bundle makes the manly cards so much easier.   The Garage Gear Thinlits cut most of the images in the stamp set so you don’t even need to fussy cut them. Too easy!

The Geared Up Garage is $84.50 AUS for the bundle.  You can add on the paper and elements and Black/Silver Metallic Ribbon if you like too.  See them and order -> HERE in my store. Please use the  Host Code: P3TZFUNA

ENDS TOMORROW TO GO IN THE DRAW TO WIN THE HANGING BASKET SET.  RECEIVE ONE ENTRY FOR EVERY $50 ORDER.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I hope all is well with you in your corner of the world.

GEARED UP GARAGE WEEK – TOOL BOX BIRTHDAY!

This card uses the Geared Up Garage Suite and was a quick one to put together.

There are a couple of things I would change if I did this card again but hey! it’s for the blokes (so that is slang for the men).  Don’t be hard on yourself when you make a card for them.  They don’t really care. It’s got a car and it’s got tools.  It’s even got ribbon! Yes! even ribbon (the Black/Silver Striped Metallic Ribbon) on the men’s cards.

Once again like the last card,  I chose not to colour it so stamped the car on Crushed Curry card and cut it with the Garage Gears Thinlits.

See them and order -> HERE in my store. Please use the  Host Code: P3TZFUNA

See you again with another card for the boys using this suite,

WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #64 – EMBOSSED GEARS!

For today’s Wednesday’s WOW! I have shared similar before – BUT I really like this technique.  I have used this on one of my recent makes with the Geared Up Garage Bundle and so I thought I would share the technique again with you.

For Wednesday’s WOW! #64 it’s all about embossing with you dies.  This is such a cool and different way to use your dies.

I have embossed the Real Red card with the large gears die in the Garage Gears Thinlits.  You can see on the card how it looks.  It’s really cool don’t you think?

I put together a chart to show you the layers to help you to emboss with your dies.  Then you can go on trying different dies to emboss with.

Have fun with it.
