COLOURFUL ‘LOVELY LACE’!

I have been playing around with the ‘Lovely Lace’ Embossing Folder this week.  As soon as I saw this in the Catalogue I knew I had to get it.  I love all the detail in it.

Here is the first one.  Since I had been playing around with the Blendabilities as well I thought I would do some colouring in.

P1140188

For this card I embossed on Whisper White cardstock.  I then just simply coloured to highlight the impression. The Blendabilities work better colouring on the card than the Stampin’ Write Markers as you don’t need to press hard to colour so you don’t effect the impression, and the colour blends nicely.   I found using the fine tip on the Blendabilities worked better for the finer lines. So easy – and so therapeutic just sitting and colouring. 🙂

I just finished it off by wrapping around some Pistachio Pudding Thick Baker’s Twine.  This was adhered to a mat in Pistachio Pudding and a card base in Lost Lagoon.  I added a greeting from ‘Label Love’.  The banners were cut from the ‘Bitty Banners’ Framelits.  One from Daffodil Delight and one from the Silver Glimmer paper. They were then cut in half and adhered behind the label. Some Rhinestone bling was added for more sparkle.

Another card I made was very simple.

P1140196

Simply emboss on white cardstock.  Tie around some Island Indigo Cotton ribbon ( I love how soft and easy to tie this ribbon is!).  This was adhered to an Island Indigo mat and then Whisper White card base.  I punched out a scallop circle in Silver Glimmer Paper.  The “For You” is from the ‘Hello There’ Hostess set.  I will be making a few of these cards to send out to some special people this week.

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you have a wonderful weekend. 🙂

Now onto the Blog Hop.  You may have come from Angela’s blog or starting here.  Either way, Grab your coffee and settle in for the ride.

Today I have chosen to use the ‘Petite Petals’ Bundle.  This is a cute little stamp set AND matching punch. You can see these on page 33 of the Occasions Catalogue. Not only is it a cute set but it co-ordinates so well with many other stamps and accessories you probably have already. I have shown you some projects here and here already with this set but I have created some other projects just for you today.

Firstly – a card.

P1110342

I have layered some of the gorgeous Watercolor Wonder DSP behind the lattice Diecut. One of the flowers from Petite Petals were stamped 5 times in Tangerine Tango and punched out with the matching petal punch. No cutting out these little flowers!! I added some Gumball Green leaves punched with the 2 way Bird punch and a little Dazzling Diamonds to the centre of the flowers for some dazzle.  The greeting is from Label Love and punched with the Label Punch.  A second label was punched in Island Indigo and cut and layered behind the label.  I tied some Linen Thread around the card too. Now this card turned out differently to what I had planned. I think it is kind of tropical though, don’t you???

I have another project for you too.  This is a cute little gift box and matching card.

P1110348

For these projects I have used the paper from the free Sale-A-Bration ‘Sweet Sorbet’ DSP.  The instructions for this cute little box can be found on Sam’s blog here.  Now if you scroll down in that post you will see the measurements.  I followed the metric measurements.  I didn’t bother trimming off the 4 or 5 mm that Sam suggested.  It is not really necessary.  It is just the cutest box and way easy, so go and make yourself some!  The circles layered with the flowers are punched out with the 1 1/4″ circle and 1 3/8″ circle.  The greeting is from ‘Simply Sketched’ and I just finished the card and box off with some Crisp Canteloupe ruffled ribbon and some pearls.

Now you can head to your next stop.  Go and see the wonderful creations that Libby has in store for you here.

A DAY FOR WEDDINGS!!

What a beautiful day for weddings on Saturday.  Firstly, my nephew and his beautiful partner were married in the most gorgeous rock canyon setting surrounded by 200 family and friends.  Before I show you the card I made for them I have to show you a photo. Aren’t they beautiful????

P1110142

Now onto the card.  I used the circle Thinlets to create the card based on a similar design I made for another wedding recently.  You can see that card here.  For this card I have used the Modern Medley DSP and silver glimmer paper.  The “Mr and Mrs” from ‘Label Love’ was clear embossed after I stamped in versamark although you can’t see that too well.  I made the card base longer than the thinlet die so it could create a flap to fold over.

P1110118

Here is a photo of the side.  This card is really hard to take photos of so sorry for the odd angles.  I added some hearts punched from the silver glimmer card too.  I forgot to take a photo of the inside of the card.

P1110120

Now for the second wedding card.  This was for my lovely friend Andrea’s daughters wedding. Unfortunately we couldn’t make it but Josh and Carlie went along.  I am sure you will see more details of the wedding on Andrea’s blog here when she can catch her breath a bit! Here is the card I made for Skye and Mitch.  It is the same design.  Why change it, although you would think I would have had this done in record time but I think it took me longer than the other 2 put together!!! I just couldn’t get the colours happening together.

For this card I used the ‘Venetian Romance’ DSP and Pistachio Pudding card base.

P1110122

Another odd angle!!  I wanted to show you the other side of the circle.  I cut a scallop circle from silver glimmer paper and stamped one of the labels in Pistachio Pudding.  The greeting is from ‘Fabulous Phrases’ and punched out with the 1″ circle punch to layer over it.  Not sure that I should have stamped the greeting in Island Indigo though???

P1110125

There you go.  Hope you like???  Thanks for stopping by.  See you again soon,

A SPECIAL WEDDING CARD!

A little while ago I shared a Wedding acceptance card.  You can see it in this post here but here is the card if you missed it.  For that card I used the colours from the Wedding invite.

P1100463

Well the big day arrived yesterday.  I thought I would show you the Wedding card now.  Once again I used similar colours for the Wedding card and I have also used the new circle Thinlets. Unfortunately the lighting wasn’t great to take photos as we have had lots of rain lately. It was so nice to see the sun shining for the wedding day yesterday. 🙂

P1100617

P1100623

I have used Baked Brown Sugar and Crisp Canteloupe.  The gold circle behind the label and on the heart is using the Gold Foil Sheets and I ran them through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.  The “Mr and Mrs” is from ‘Label Love’ and was embossed.  It has a nice shine to it.  It’s just a shame that  you can’t see that to well even in the close up!  I have used the ‘Venetian Romance’ DSP.

P1100618-1

Here is the inside. I just decorated on the back of the circle. The space to write on was under the extended flap.

P1100624

I hope they like the card.  It was a lovely day to celebrate with all the family.

Ok, just a quick wedding snap.  It was a bit emotional! But such a lovely setting.

P1100642

The thunder rolled in and it looked like rain but it passed us by!

P1100671

Here is my Great Niece Jakayla,  Carlie and my Niece Megan.

P1100649

Thanks for visiting. The sun is out again today so I guess one must catch up on some washing!  See you soon.

LET’S CATCH UP – THINLETS AND AN ENVELOPE PUNCH BOARD!

I am a little behind with my blogging lately.  Life is busy and with Josh studying on the computer a lot at the moment with the HSC I have had little access to the computer. BUT I am here now.  Just squeezing in a little time while he is still in bed!

By now you would have known about the wonderful new products released just this past week.  I thought I would show you what I have been doing with them.

Firstly, have you seen the new Thinlets Card dies??? These make fun, interactive cards in no time.  Check them out.

thinlits_flyerTH_demo_10.13_SP

These come in the Labels shape or  the circle and come with lots of other fun bits to add to your cards.  They are $55.95.  I had a chance to play with Leonie’s circle thinlets the other day as I am still waiting on mine to arrive.  (Thank you Leonie). Here is a fun, birthday card to create.

 P1100508

P1100509

I have used the set ‘Sketched Birthday’ and the paper is from ‘Birthday Basics’.  This is really a great pack of paper.  I think it gets lost in the catalogue.  Leonie kindly gave me a piece.  (Thanks again Leonie!!!).  You are a star 🙂

I think it was the 1 3/4″ circle punch I used to punch the circle in Summer Starfruit card and the Whisper White scallop circle is the 1 3/4″ scallop circle.  I added a little bling to this too.

P1100489

Now on to the Envelope Punch Board.  I have been having so much fun with this new little gadget. You MUST have one of these.  Not only does it cut up to 66 different size envelopes BUT there are so many other fun boxes and projects you can do with it PLUS it has a corner rounder punch on it if you need one for any of your projects.

Demo_Header_EnvelopePunch

Here are some little treat pouches I have been making with them.

P1100493

Made with the ‘Sweater Weather DSP’ and ‘Label Love’ stamp set.  I added a little Burlap Ribbon. Add a little treat and this might be a good one for the men in your life???

How about a Christmas one with the ‘Season of Style’ DSP.

P1100492

The label is from ‘Chalk Talk’ and stamped in Gumball Green.  The ornament is one from the ‘Best of Christmas’ sets and stamped in Cherry Cobbler.  You could add ribbon and hang these in the Christmas tree with a special Christmas treat.  These are the right size to hold a Gift card.  If you want to make one you can use the Gift card size shown on the Envelope Punch Board.  The original idea came from Angie over at Chic N Scratch here.

Here is a little sneak of another project I created using the Envelope Punch Board.  If you are on my Facebook Business page you would have already seen it.  (BTW: You can click on the link in the right hand column and ‘LIKE’ my page to see my projects I show there).  I will show you the rest of this project in the new few days.

P1100482

So I hope you grab yourself the Thinlets Cards Dies AND the Envelope Punch Board.  I can tell you they are essential 😉

Have a good day however you spend it.

EX LIBRIS CARD FOR PATTI

One of the great things about Stampin’ Up! is the people you meet.  I have made friends not just locally but in so many countries that I would not have otherwise known.  I am so blessed to call them my friends.  Recently  I made a card for a special blog friend in the US that I have got to know over the last few months.  I sent her a card and a little bit of Australia.

Before I show you the card I will show you the gift I sent her.

I forgot to take a photo of it before I sent it so I have just taken it from her blog.  Sorry Patti I hope you don’t mind??? 🙂

Australia Tea Towel

I sent her a Tea Towel with the Kookaburra and Rosellas.  I thought she might like to see the visitors I get to my garden.  I didn’t realise HOW wrapped she would be though!!  The tag is from Chalk Talk and is stamped in Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Canteloupe.

Here is the card I made for her (after the first one went missing somewhere between here and there).

P1100197

I have had this ‘Ex Libris’ stamp for nearly a year and haven’t used it yet.  (Hangs my head in shame).  I inked the stamp in Pistachio Pudding and then sponged over it in places with Crisp Canteloupe then stamped it on Whisper White card.  The greeting is from ‘A Dozen Thoughts’.  (One of the stamps you can get for 25% off until Monday).  I stamped this on a piece of Whisper White and flagged the ends then sponged the edges in Crisp Canteloupe.  For the label on the card I stamped the stamp again on Whisper White.  If you look at the stamp it has a label on it which is larger then our Decorative Label Punch.  I cut around the inner line of the label and then sponged it with Pistachio Pudding.  I added a flagged strip of Crisp Canteloupe underneath the label.  The butterflies are from Papillion Potpourri.  I stamped the smaller ones in Crisp Canteloupe and used a blender pen to slightly colour the centre.  The large butterfly was inked in Crisp Canteloupe and sponged in Pistachio Pudding.  Then I added some Dazzling Diamonds with the 2-way glue pen.  It does look so sparkly in real life.

P1100199

Now I received a special package from Patti.  Check this out!!

P1100469

Some delicious Maple Candy!! Who Hoo!  AND a beautiful book of Vermont where she lives. Throughout the book she had added post-it notes with little notes of the area or where she had been.  It made it so special.  What a beautiful part of the world!

Then a gorgeous card.

P1100471

This is using the set ‘Gently Falling’ which I don’t have so that is lovely.  The ‘Just for You’ is from ‘Label Love’ and was stamped then embossed in White Embossing Powder.  Finished off with one of Patti’s specialty bows.  How special to receive a treat like this from across the other side of the world.  You must go and visit Patti and say  G’day.  Stop by Patti’s Stamping Studio here.

Thanks for visiting.  See you again soon.

MOSAIC MADNESS FUN!

It’s been over a week since I have stopped by here.  School Holidays are still on so I have been a little busy with other things.  I have done some stamping.  I have been working on a project this week and I am going to put together a tutorial for you.  I am planning on sharing it with you early next week so stop by soon and check it out.

Today though I thought I would show you some cards I made recently using Mosaic Madness.  Isn’t it cool that you get these in a bundle now!  Buy the stamp set and the punch and you save $$$$.  You can find this on p 123 of the Catalogue.

Here are the cards.

I am loving the new In Colors.  They are just gorgeous and I have used all of them on this card. (I just noticed my background to my blog is Coastal Cabana.  How funny is that!).

 P1090342

I added a little flower punched from the Itty Bitty punch set and added a rhinestone to the centre of this. The greeting is from Itty Bitty Banners.  Of course we have a matching Embossing Folder to go with the stamps and punch.  This is not included in the bundle.

The great thing with this folder is you can emboss and use either side.  They both look great.  I have used the other side on this next card.

P1090348

Island Indigo and Pool Party – it makes any card just right!!!  LOL.  I have added some Pool Party seam binding and the greeting is from Label Love.  This is another Bundle you can get in the Catalogue and comes with the Stamp set and matching punch (see p 33).

A quick post today but I hope you like them.  Stop by early next week for a special project.

Have a great weekend,

Jenny
