cards, Stampin' Up!

Thoughtful Branches Header

Time is running out to get this gorgeous set.  Tomorrow is the last day.  Don’t miss out because I am telling you, you will be sorry.  Don’t come to me on Thursday asking to order it.  You know what I am going to say!! 🙂

So, grab it now.  You can get just the stamps or just the dies but why not get the bundle and save 10%.  ($92.50 AUS)

You can order it by emailing me or ordering Online at my store HERE.  If you order online please use the Host Code: AEA9A3PT

Also, if you order from me you will receive a PDF of some gorgeous projects PLUS get 2 Loyalty VIS points.

Here are a few cards that I have made recently.  You might have seen a glimpse of these on earlier posts.

This first one was CASED off Pinterest. I added some stamping down the side with the tree top stamp and added some twine on the side.  I think this would be a good masculine card.

3 trees

This next one was inspired by one on Pinterest.  I embossed the background with the Fluttering Embossing Folder and added some Melon Mambo Twine.  The doily is the retired ones.

For this next one, I have sponged the card and stamped the trees.

Sponged Trees

To create this, you can cut a square from scrap paper to form a window. Then lay this window piece over your white card to create a mask.  Then sponge your colours over it.  I have used Soft Sky for the top section and Pear Pizzazz on the bottom section. Before removing your mask stamp the trees in Early Espresso.

I heat embossed the greeting in gold Embossing Powder.

You might have seen this version around your blog travels.  I wanted to make it myself.  I stamped the flower head/tree top stamp onto Marina Mist card with the Dapper Denim.  (I think it was those colours!).

Tomorrow I have some Christmas cards for you.  Come back and visit and check them out.

Have a great day/night,

Jenny x

cards, Catalogues, Stampin' Up!

I have some more of the fun from my Catalogue Launch for you.  If you missed out on the first part then head back to the last post I did.  Today I want to share with you some of the stamping fun we had.

The table all set up ready to go.  I was pretty excited with the Pom Pom Flowers I found that was a fairly close match to some of the new Incolors.

This was a sample of some of the new products and some cards.  I had other new products in the Product Playground that I showed in the last post.

sample table

I had some Swirly Bird card samples to share.  I have a class this coming Saturday just with the Swirly Bird stamps and the Scribbles Thinlits.  That should be a lot of fun.

Swirly Board

This was the first Make and Take using the new Flourish Thinlits.  I love the delicateness of these dies.  I found they cut surprisingly easy even with just the regular platform.  I used the new ‘Playful Palette’ DSP stack too.  The sentiment is from the new set ‘Best Birds’.

Flourish _ Peekaboo Peach

The other Make and Take was using the new Dapper Denim Incolor.  I have used the ‘Thoughful Banners’ stamp set. These banners are so easy to punch with the Duet Banner Punch.   I stamped a background on the base card with the Timeless Textures stamp set. The colours of the stripes were from the top – Night of Navy, Dapper Denim, Island Indigo, Marina Mist and Soft Sky.  I cut a scallop square mat for the white stamped card piece with the new Layering Square Framelits.  It just gives a subtle peek of the silver Foil. This card was inspired by a card I saw on a Facebook group I am on.

So lots of fun was had by all my lovely ladies who came.  I appreciate each and every one of them.  If you are local make sure you come along to my next launch or class to enjoy the fun.

Thanks for stopping by,

cards, Masculine, Sale-A-Bration, Stampin' Up!

I needed to make a 21st card for Josh to give to a friend.  It needed to be quick.  I didn’t have a lot of time.  I had just received the Large Numbers Framelits so I thought this might be just the thing.  Plus I received the Sale-A-Bration ‘Party Pants’ set.  I love these little sentiments in this set.

Here is the card for you.

I have used some of ‘It’s My Party’ Paper Stack. I have used so much of these papers. There is 48 12″x12″ sheets in the pack.  Not just some bright party type papers but some neutral Sahara Sand and black and white sheets.  Very versatile I think. 🙂

I cut the 21 from the black DSP piece and then added a piece of Real Red card behind it.  I matted it all on some Whisper White and then a Black card base.  The sentiment from ‘Party Pants’ is cut from the ‘Tags and Labels’ Framelits and matted on Real Red card frame.  I looped up some Silver Cord to add behind the sentiment.  Josh thought it was cool as it looked like barbed wire!!!  🙂

So a quick masculine 21st card was made in record time!

Thanks for visiting today.

cards, Catalogues, Stampin' Up!

I had overlooked the ‘Timeless Textures’ stamp set in the Occasions Catalogue.  I really couldn’t see how I would use it but then at our Team Stamping Day last weekend I saw a card that my friend Leonie made and I wanted to CASE it.  I soon discovered what a great set it was.  Lots of little elements that could be used on their own or to create backgrounds with other stamps.  It’s a great alternative to ‘Gorgeous Grunge’. So since then I may have purchased this set myself. 😉

Here is the card.  This was originally CASED from Pinterest.  I made mine in Soft Suede.  I am keen to try this in other colours to see how it would look.

I used Crumb cake for the “speckly” edge and for some of the “dots”. The rest of the images were stamped in Soft Suede. The greeting is from ‘Rose Wonder’ set and cut with the matching framelits.

Here is a tip to create a mat for the framelit from my friend Leonie.  Trace around the outside edge of the framelit with pencil on to some scrap card.  Then cut it out with scissors and rub out the pencil marks.  Clever idea!!  I added some Linen Thread loops behind the greeting too. This might be good for a masculine card??

This is the inside.

So I think this is a good addition to your stamps.  Here is the set so you can see all the different elements.

It is $49 for Wood mount and $35 for Clear mount.  I think you will find this set very useful.  Stay tuned for some more projects with this set.

cards, Masculine

As it is approaching the end of the Annual Catalogue AND the Occasions Catalogue, I really wanted to use up more of the great papers from the ‘Adventure Bound’ Designer Series Paper Stack before they are finished with. There are some great designs for those male cards we all struggle with.  So this past week I have been on a mission to make some cards with this stack.  I thought I would show you some of the cards.

First up, I CASED the card on the left from Leanne Greff (flowerbug) HERE but just changed it a little.  Then decided to turn it and change it some more. Colours used are Basic Black, So Saffron and Cajun Craze. Isn’t the brick print cool???

For these next 2 cards I used the Traveler set and added some Burlap Ribbon and Island Indigo Cotton Ribbon.  Don’t be afraid to use ribbon on the boys cards!  Colours used here are Basic Gray, Island Indigo and Cajun Craze. The greeting is from ‘Itty Bitty Banners’.

On these last 2 I will show you I decided to pull out some retiring sets.  I changed the stamps but kept the same layout.  The left is using Starburst Sayings and the right card is Blue Ribbon and I have used the White Jute ribbon (which only just arrived in my order a few hours earlier!!!).  I have used Island Indigo, Cajun Craze and Base Gray again and even added some sparkle with some Silver Glimmer Paper.

I was happy with these little sets of cards. I hope you like them too??? 🙂

Have you got any ‘Adventure Bound’ DSP paper stacks yet?? There are some great designs and only $11.95 for 48 sheets: 4 each of 12 double-sided designs. They are just a little larger than a card front size and have some fantastic print images and patterns. You have to get this pack for your male cards. (Only 2 weeks left). You can see them (and order) from my online store HERE or you can contact me directly.

You can see some other cards I made with this stack some time ago by heading to this blog post HERE.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Come and visit me again.  Have a happy day wherever you may be.

3D projects, cards, Convention, Masculine, Stampin' Up!, swaps

I have finally had a chance to go through my swaps and take photos.  I thought you might like to see them. There are some great ideas. I have grouped them to help you see them.  If you would like a closer view of one or to know about it more then let me know.

Butterflies are always popular!

Flowers of all types!

I took photos of these next 2 separately to show you as I liked these ideas.

On the left is a collage card.  I have been wanting to try one of these.  One on the right is a triple layer stamped card using ovals.  It looks great!  (I will give this one a go too).

A variety of cards here.

Some ideas for the men!

These are gift card holders, tea bag holder and little tags.  Check out the black dress.

I had to take a close-up of the dress.  It is using the Bow punch.  How clever!

Some little treat holders. Very cute!

3D projects, cards, Masculine, Stampin' Up!

I showed you my Convention swaps earlier.  I hope you like them?? When I was just finishing the cards off last week I realised how similar one of the cards were to a Gift Box I made recently and what a great gift set it would make.  What a coincidence!

Here they are together. I have used the Guy Greetings stamp set.

I did not plan this at all but how cool! If you want to see more details of this cute faceted box then you can check my blog post HERE.  It has the link to make your own box in that post too.

Maybe that will be just the idea to fill with chocolates for a masculine birthday – or maybe for Father’s Day????

Thanks for stopping by,

cards, Convention, Masculine, swaps

As you read this I will be on my way to the Gold Coast, Queensland for the South Pacific Stampin’ Up! Convention.  So exciting!!

The best part of this is meeting up with online demonstrator friends and swapping cards with them. Oh yes! There are great demonstrations of projects and sneak peeks too 🙂

So I thought I would show you my swaps I have done.  This year I made less than I usually do. Time was a little against me.

Here are my cards.

I have used the set ‘Guy Greetings’.  The card on the right I have CASED from Lisa Young ( HERE.  This card then inspired my card on the left.

The base card for both is Night of Navy.  I used Very Vanilla mat.  I cut an oval shape on scrap card to form a mask and placed this over the Hardwood background stamp.  I inked up the Hardwood stamp by patting the Crumb Cake ink over the mask and stamp. I removed the mask and stamped the Hardwood stamp onto the Vanilla cardstock. The anchor and tool images are both stamped in Night of Navy ink on Whisper White card.

For the card on the right I added ‘Epic Day’ Washi Tape and this greeting was stamped in Basic Gray.

For the card on the left, the greeting is stamped in Night of Navy.  I added some loops of linen thread on the back of the card.  To create these loops,  I loosely wrapped the linen thread twice around 2 fingers and cut the linen thread at this point. I added Glue dots to attach the loops under the top left of the image which had been matted onto Night of Navy card.  Then I made one loop and attached it under the bottom right.  Glue dots are the best  way to attach the loops.

I hope you like them.  I can’t wait to receive the swap cards in return.  I will share them with you when I get back.

I will try and post again later in the week but most of the updates will be on my Facebook business page.  You can ‘Like’ me if you haven’t already.  Just click on the link in the right column.

Thanks for stopping by today 🙂

cards, Masculine, Stampin' Up!

I just have to share these cards I made yesterday.  I am not great at making male cards.  Aren’t they hard to make???  The new Adventure Bound Designer Series Paper Stacks in the Occasions Catalogue makes creating them so much easier.  Actually there are a lot of great “male” sets in this catalogue.

The prints in the stack are beautiful.  You really don’t need too much more with them on your cards.  I have used the new ‘Hello You’ Thinlets and the ‘Crazy About You’ stamp set with them and kept the embellishments very simple.  I was thinking of putting Candy Dots on them but didn’t get around to it.  I don’t think it needs them really.  I like the clean look.

Here they are individually.

The Adventure Bound Stacks are great value at $11.95.  (p 40 of the Occasions Catalogue).  You get 48 sheets – 4 each of 12 double-sided designs.  Sized right for the front of your cards.

Adventure bound

You can get the Thinlets and Crazy About You set as a Bundle. (p 31).  For Bundle price W $112.95  C $94.25  Photopolymer $72.95.  They are available individually too.

Hello You          Crazy About You

So if you have a hard time with cards for the boys then grab one of these stacks.
