I thought I would show you the mini Thank you cards I made for my customers last month using the Lots of Lavender set available for Sale-A-Bration.

I have to say, in my hurry to get them out I missed stamping the “thanks” on the front.¬† Silly me! ūüôā I had the stamp set on my desk too.¬† Never mind!¬† I wrote inside to say Thanks to them and that I appreciate their order.¬† I like to send little notes like these often.¬† They don’t need to be big standard size cards.¬† For these I used the Narrow Note Cards and Envelopes in the Occasions Catalogue.

The Lots Of Lavender set is a great 2 step stamp set.¬† Some of the time (well most of the time) I don’t feel like colouring, so you can stamp the outline and then fill in the image with another stamp.¬† I used 2 colour variations.¬† One on the left – Powder Pink and Berry Burst.¬† On the right (Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant).¬† The leaves were stamped in Wild Wasabi.¬† I went over the lines of the leaves with the Wild Wasabi marker.¬† The stems were coloured with the Old Olive marker.¬† I added a little bow with the Linen Thread and attached it with a Glue Dot.

This is the Lots of Lavender set if you hadn’t noticed it in the Occasions Catalogue.¬† It’s great for quick cards.¬† This set is one of the free choices available for Sale-A-Bration with orders over $90.¬†¬†

Thanks for visiting my little corner of Blogland.  I do appreciate each one of you.  I wish I could send a Thank You card to each and everyone of you. xx

So have you checked out the new Occasions Catalogue yet?  What do you think??  What is your favourite?

What about Sale-A-Bration?? I couldn’t go past the adorable Party Pandas set.¬† So cute!!¬† I think it is going to be a very popular choice this year.¬† Of course, I had to use this set first.¬† This is one card I made.¬† I just have to show you it.

I call this my Peekaboo Panda card.

This is a Panel card.  I will explain how to make it further below.

This is the inside of the card.¬† Not just one Panda! Too cute. ūüôā

To create the Panel Card:

1. On the front of the card base: The US standard Card base would measure 5.5‚Ä≥ x 8.5‚Ä≥ folded in half. The Metric size card base is 14.8cm and 21cm folded in half. Cut off at 3cm (approximately 1 1/4″) from the bottom edge.¬† Put that strip aside for later.

2. Again on the card base measure down 3cm (1 1/4″) from the score line. Cut off at the 3cm mark. Put that section away.

3. Cut 2 strips of Designer Series Paper (this one is the Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper), just slightly smaller 2.6cm (approximately 1″) wide and 14.4cm long (In imperial make it slightly smaller the the width of your card base).¬† Adhere these one to the top section of the front of the card base and then one on the small strip that was cut off.

4. The panel for the stamped section is cut to your desired width you like. My piece measures 10.5cm by 6cm (or about 5.5″ x 3″). Stamp your image you like. This is then matted on a slightly larger card piece 6.4cm x 10.5cm (5.5″ x 3 1/4″). I used Daffodil Delight for this. Then I matted this on to another card piece slightly larger again 6.8cm x 10.5cm (5.5″ x 3 1/2). I used Marina Mist for this piece.

5. The first strip you cut off from the base that you set aside lie that down on your card base so the bottom of the strip aligns with the bottom of the back of the card base. You won’t glue this down. Position your stamped piece that you have completed which has been adhered to the coloured card mats. This will be positioned to the left of the card base so the bottom edge lines up with the bottom edge of the card base and the top edge lines up with the top edge of the card base. To adhere this piece you will put adhesive on the back of this stamped panel ONLY at the top and on the bottom.

6.¬†¬†To stamp the Panda in the right position on the inside, lay your Whisper White card mat in place inside.¬† Then mark where the right hand side edge of the panel is in either pencil or just by noting the placement, then open the card base and stamp your Panda in the right place.¬† I will be honest it did take a couple of attempts to get it right as I wanted the Panda to be peeking in the right place.¬† Don’t worry I used those “duds” for other cards which I will share at a later date.

7.  Colour your images with markers and add additional stamping where required.  For the balloon, I stamped it separately on Daffodil Delight scrap card.  Then I cut the balloon and raised it up off the card with Dimensionals.

This is the stamp set Party Pandas if you hadn’t seen it.¬† Isn’t it just the cutest?? AND you can get it for Free with a qualifying order – which is a minimum order of $90.

Happy Shopping,

I have had my Carols of Christmas class this weekend.  I thought I would show you the cards we made.  Everyone loved using this bundle and making these cards.

The first card was one of the cards from my Carols of Christmas week last week.  (If you missed that head back a few posts.  I posted a different card each day with this bundle).

This one is using Fresh Fig and adding a little Copper Foil. ¬†It’s hard to see but I wrapped some Copper Thread around the Fresh Fig card before adhering it to the White card base. ¬†We had a Fig and Gold combination as well which was still nice.

The next card was inspired by one on Pinterest but it took a different direction – as it does sometimes.

The double trees were cut from the White card mat and adhered to the Emerald Envy card mat. You can see the green trees through the cut window. Another tree was cut from a small piece of Emerald Envy and then raised up with Dimensionals. ¬†We added a little sparkle with the Dazzling Diamonds. ¬†You can just run around the edge of the tree with the Fine Tip glue and then sprinkle with the Dazzling Diamonds. ¬†The sentiment is cut with a Circle Stitched Shapes Framelit. ¬†And of course, don’t forget those cute little deers. These are cut from Sahara Sand card.

The last card which I think was the favourite of each class as it was so different is the Square Z-Fold Christmas.  I am loving these Z-Fold cards.

While I have just received my new Christmas paper this one used retired Christmas paper from a few years back. ¬†I still had so much left and really it was the idea of the card. ¬†I never normally use retired products in class but I didn’t have anything else, And yes it’s not an idea to use retired stuff as everyone says “I love it! can I buy it?” ¬†:/

The flowers and leaves were stamped and cut using the Thinlits and adhered off the card with Dimensionals. ¬†Adhesive Pearls were added to the centres. ¬†Don’t you love that frame??

If you want to make your own Square Z-Fold card, then head HERE to a recent post with this card fold.

There you have the 3 cards we made.  This bundle is SO versatile.  It is endless what you can do with it.  I hope you can grab your bundle and you can get it this month Рearly!

Here is the bundle if you have missed it.

You can grab it in my store now HERE (Australian residents only) and get started on your Christmas cards.

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.  See you again soon,

Today I am looking at the Crazy About You set that is retiring. ¬†I have had fun with this set over it’s time.

This one we did as a Stamp A Stack card back a few years ago. ¬†In Night of Navy and Calypso Coral with Crushed Curry for the sentiment piece. ¬† ¬†I added a little strip of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper too. ¬†I think we did this in another colour combinations but I can’t seem to find that one. I think it was Daffodil Delight instead of the Calypso Coral. I do like this colour combo though.

I think this one was a Make and Take at a few workshops.  This one was in Primrose Petal and Pear Pizzazz.  Having the diecut words for these cards just gives it a little more dimension.

This one was a card sample.  This was quite some time ago with Lost Lagoon and the 2 step Bird Punch for the leaves.   The background is the Hardwood background stamp which is inked in Crumb Cake.  The sentiment is from Butterfly Basics.

The flower stamp matches so well with the Flower Medallion Punch (also retiring, $31 AUS). No hand cutting this baby. ūüôā

The words in the Crazy About You¬†set are very¬†versatile for so many different occasions. You can also get the ‘Hello You’ Thinlits ($41 AUS).

You have less than one week now to get any of these retiring products.  Be quick now!  Stop on by my store to order.  Please use the HOST CODE: 2WNURG3N

Have a wonderful weekend,

The Party Pop-Up Thinlits have only been around for a short time Рand now they are going!  I thought I would show you a few cards I have made with them over the months.

The Thinlits make cool Pop-ups inside the card. ¬†It’s such a WOW!

But you could add them to the front of the card.

The other Pop Up Die in the pack is the Happy Birthday.

For this one I cut the words out from Watercolor Paper and then coloured them with the Aquapainter and Inkpads. ¬†I did add the Wink of Stella to the “flames” although that is hard to tell.

This card below is a Flap Fold. ¬†I hadn’t shown you this one yet. ¬†I made this last year for our nephew’s 40th birthday.

To make this cut your card vertically in half on the short side so you have a long card strip.  On an A4 sheet that would be at the 10.5cm mark.  Then score on the long side at 7.4cm and then at 14.8cm (ie at 1/4 of the card and half way). Fold on the score lines at the half way score line and then back on itself at the first score line.

This is the inside for you to see it.

I cut a circle in the Crushed Curry and placed adhesive on half of the circle at the back and adhere that half on the front flap.  The Designer Series Paper is the Moroccan DSP and the card base is Dapper Denim.

It needed something on the birthday and without making it to bling-y I added a strip of Silver Foil and just one Adhesive Rhinestone in the centre.

You can see the Thinlits set in my store HERE.  Now these are reduced down to $40.  I think they will be a useful addition to your cardmaking not just to make the WOW cards but to add them to card fronts as well.  Grab them now.

The Sale-A-Bration set ‘Avant Garden’ was one of my early choices. ¬†I loved how versatile it was and I have seen so many different ways with it over the last few months.

Here are just a few more that was shared by Stampin’ Up! this morning. ¬†I thought I would share them with you.

Create a wreath, or clear emboss them and give the card a wash with watercolour, or what about some Palm Trees?  I have been wanting to give that a go for a few weeks but time has been a bit short.

Only 3 days left for Sale-A-Bration. ¬†Don’t miss out on getting your free choices. ¬†If Avant Garden is not your choice there are so many other options and even some catalogue products.
