cards, Stampin' Up!

‘SANTA’S LIST’

I have had this card in Draft form for weeks – and then I got a little excited with the Envelope Punch Board.  So I thought I would take a break from the Punch Board for today and show you this.  Don’t worry there will still be more projects to come soon with that.  I can’t believe how many visits from Pinterest I have had over the last week with my Punch Board projects.  It is nice to have you all stop by.  Visit anytime 🙂

This was another card I made at our last Stamping day together (a few weeks ago now. OK a couple of months ago!).  I borrowed Leonie N. stamp set of ‘Santa’s List.  This card was CASED from her.  How good am I, not only borrow her stamps but CASE her cards as well! Oh well! When you are on to a good thing ……………….

Here is the card.

I embossed the card with the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder.  The Santa is from ‘Santa’s List’  He is simply stamped in Cherry Cobbler and I used 2 way Glue pen to apply the Dazzling Diamonds around his beard, cuffs and hat.  It does sparkle so nicely in real life.  The circles were cut with the Circles Framelits.  I used a little strip of ‘Season of Style’ DSP.  There really is not much more you need to do.

I hope you enjoyed this little distraction.  Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you can visit again soon,

Jenny

CHRISTMAS BON-BON WITH THE ENVELOPE PUNCH BOARD!

The Envelope Punch Board is one HOT item at the moment.  I have been having so much fun with mine.  Last week I made this Christmas Bon-Bon.  I shared it on my Facebook Business page and realised I hadn’t shown you all yet.  (If you haven’t LIKED me on Facebook yet, make sure you look me up so you don’t miss out on some of the projects I post).

These are so easy to make.   You can whip up a few of these at a time.  They will be great filled with some treats to give out at Christmas.  You can find the video on how to make these here.  I have used the lovely ‘Season of Style’ DSP.  For the tag I have used ‘Chalk Talk’ stamped in Gumball Green and the Christmas Bauble is from the ‘Best of Christmas’ set.  Here is a close-up of the tag if you want to see it.

So have you got your Envelope Punch Board yet??? If not, why not???  You do have to have one you know! Don’t just think they are for envelopes!

We have a wet Monday here but that is good.  The ground is so dry.  We so need the rain.

LET’S CATCH UP – THINLETS AND AN ENVELOPE PUNCH BOARD!

I am a little behind with my blogging lately.  Life is busy and with Josh studying on the computer a lot at the moment with the HSC I have had little access to the computer. BUT I am here now.  Just squeezing in a little time while he is still in bed!

By now you would have known about the wonderful new products released just this past week.  I thought I would show you what I have been doing with them.

Firstly, have you seen the new Thinlets Card dies??? These make fun, interactive cards in no time.  Check them out.

These come in the Labels shape or  the circle and come with lots of other fun bits to add to your cards.  They are $55.95.  I had a chance to play with Leonie’s circle thinlets the other day as I am still waiting on mine to arrive.  (Thank you Leonie). Here is a fun, birthday card to create.

P1100509

I have used the set ‘Sketched Birthday’ and the paper is from ‘Birthday Basics’.  This is really a great pack of paper.  I think it gets lost in the catalogue.  Leonie kindly gave me a piece.  (Thanks again Leonie!!!).  You are a star 🙂

I think it was the 1 3/4″ circle punch I used to punch the circle in Summer Starfruit card and the Whisper White scallop circle is the 1 3/4″ scallop circle.  I added a little bling to this too.

P1100489

Now on to the Envelope Punch Board.  I have been having so much fun with this new little gadget. You MUST have one of these.  Not only does it cut up to 66 different size envelopes BUT there are so many other fun boxes and projects you can do with it PLUS it has a corner rounder punch on it if you need one for any of your projects.

Here are some little treat pouches I have been making with them.

P1100493

Made with the ‘Sweater Weather DSP’ and ‘Label Love’ stamp set.  I added a little Burlap Ribbon. Add a little treat and this might be a good one for the men in your life???

How about a Christmas one with the ‘Season of Style’ DSP.

P1100492

The label is from ‘Chalk Talk’ and stamped in Gumball Green.  The ornament is one from the ‘Best of Christmas’ sets and stamped in Cherry Cobbler.  You could add ribbon and hang these in the Christmas tree with a special Christmas treat.  These are the right size to hold a Gift card.  If you want to make one you can use the Gift card size shown on the Envelope Punch Board.  The original idea came from Angie over at Chic N Scratch here.

Here is a little sneak of another project I created using the Envelope Punch Board.  If you are on my Facebook Business page you would have already seen it.  (BTW: You can click on the link in the right hand column and ‘LIKE’ my page to see my projects I show there).  I will show you the rest of this project in the new few days.

So I hope you grab yourself the Thinlets Cards Dies AND the Envelope Punch Board.  I can tell you they are essential 😉

Have a good day however you spend it.

CHRISTMAS WITH THE CHEVRON PUNCH

I recently got the Chevron Border Punch from the Holiday Catalogue.  I was playing around with it to create some Christmas cards.

This card was CASED from Barb Mullikin I think??  I have used the ‘Season of Style’ Designer Series Paper.  I punched some Chevrons at the bottom of the paper and backed it with some Cherry Cobbler card.  I coloured the gifts from the set ‘Wishing You’.  I used Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green Markers. I then cut them out and lifted them up using Dimensionals.  I added a little Rhinestone to the centre of the middle gift although it is a hard to see that.  The greeting from that set was inked with Cherry Cobbler ink and was cut out using the Labels Framelits.  Some Gumball Green Satin Stitched Ribbon helped break up the busy paper.

P1090839

The next card is using the Chevron Border Punch a little different.  I added 3 of the punch outs in a line pointing downwards, actually towards the greeting which just highlighted the greeting!

P1100185

This Santa is from the stamp set ‘Santa’s List’.  I don’t have this set but I used it at Leonie N’s at our last stamp day a few weeks ago.  It’s good to get together and share stamps – and ideas 🙂  You can’t see here but I added some Dazzling Diamonds with the 2-Way Glue Pen to the white trim on Santa’s coat and hat and on his beard.  It is hard to see it though.  If you click on the photo to see a larger view you might just be able to see it sparkle!

I have used a different pattern of the ‘Season of Style’ Designer Series Paper and added some Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon to finish it off.

I have seen some more great ways to use this punch on my blog travels so I look forward to playing around with this punch some more . So stay tuned!

Thanks for stopping by,

Jenny

So, let’s begin!

You may have just come from Angie’s blog or you might be starting here.  Either way, enjoy your travels – and I hope you are inspired.  Don’t forget to leave a comment at the end to say you have visited.

Today I want to show you one of the new stamp sets ‘Wishing You’.  This is on Page 23 of the Holiday Catalogue.

When you are looking for inspiration to create your projects you can spend hours trawling the internet (pinterest perhaps???!!!!!!).  Don’t forget the Catalogues for ideas.  They have some fantastic simple projects for you to Copy.  For this one I have CASED from page 9 of the Holiday Catalogue.  I have used the ‘Season of Style’ Designer Series Paper (page 23) and the lovely Cherry Cobbler Stitched Edged Grosgrain Ribbon (page 22).  The little parcels I coloured with Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive markers.  Being a clear- mount set I could easily see where to place them.  Maybe I should have got the Stamp-A-ma-jig out BUT I was lazy!!

P1090820

This next card was inspired by a card on Splitcoaststampers.  (Another great source of inspiraton!).

P1090826

For this one I have used the ‘Season of Style’ Designer Series Paper again.  I have stamped the gifts and the greeting on Whisper White card and layered this on Silver Glimmer Paper for some sparkle.  You have to have that, don’t you!  I added a bow again using the Cherry Cobbler Grosgrain ribbon.  This one is very quick to make.  As long as it doesn’t take several attempts at making a half-decent bow. How do I know that?  I think it took me as long to make the bow as it did to make the card.

Now the great thing with this set is it is very versatile.  I like to show how you can use your Christmas sets for other occasions.  You can pull this set out for Birthdays throughout the year.

P1090818

This card was inspired by a card on Page 3 of the Annual Catalogue.  For this I have used the ‘I Am Me’ Designer Series Paper.  The gifts were coloured with Pear Pizzazz and Tangerine Tango Markers.  The piece was layered under a Tangerine Tango frame cut with the Squares Collection Framelits.  The greeting is from ‘Remembering your Birthday’.  The card was finished off with a clip from the Essentials Hardware (page 170).

Now you can head off to the next blog on your journey.  Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you will visit me again soon.  Now you can see what fabulous creations Jenny Humphreys has made for you.

See you next time,

Jenny
