CRAFT ALIVE TREATS!

Last post I showed you some photos of Craft Alive the show we attended a few weeks ago.  If you missed that post with some of the highlights then head back a post.

Today I want to show you some little treats I created.

First off I made these little Easel calendars for the 3 other ladies on our show team.  I invited each of them on this crazy ride with me and wanted to give them a gift.  I made this for their little gift pack to say Thank You to them.

These were so easy to make.  Without giving you specific measurements I will tell you how they are made so they can work for metric or imperial measurements.

MAKE YOUR OWN EASEL CALENDARS

Take a sheet of card and cut it in half vertically.  Put one half aside. With the other length you have, score the piece in half. Then score one of the sections in half again.  Then fold on the score lines.  Fold it firstly in at the half way line, then fold the other score line inwards. The larger section is the base part.  The smaller equal sections are folded.  Does that make sense?

You will also need an additional card piece that can be adhered on to the front.  This piece is the same width as the card and you can make it any height.  I made it the same height as the base length.  In other words, the other piece of cardstock you put aside at the beginning, cut that in half and it will be the right length.  I hope that all makes sense.  Really it is the idea of it.  The actual measurements are entirely up to you.  Decorate as you like.  I had pieces of the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper that I decorated the front with and a butterfly from the Butterfly Gala stamp set.

I also needed to make some tags up for the prize gifts.  Stampin’ Up! were very generous in donating a box full of retired products.  We made up so many prize packs and gave away several per day.

I have one of each colour of the tags I made using the lovely Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper and the Amazing Life stamp set.

I hope you like these.  I think everyone who received one loved the tag…. or maybe it was all the lovely Stampin’ Up! products they received.  They were very excited anyway.

Thanks for visiting me again today,

Jenny

ONSTAGE – BUDDY GIFTS AND SWAPS!

Did you catch the video in yesterday’s post with the swaps I received from Onstage?  If not, head back to the last post. I have the still photos there too.

Today I wanted to share with you my buddy gifts and the swaps I made to share.

BUDDY GIFT PACKS

I made up little Gift Packs – or Onstage survival kits. 😉 I made up 4 of them.

These packs contained a notebook.  I loved these notebooks.  Two had on the front “Don’t Forget To Be Awesome” and the other two were “My Awesome Book of Brilliant Ideas”.  I thought these would be great to write notes in at the Onstage sessions.  In the packs there was some mini Tic Tacs, Tea Bag, Kit Kat Chocolate and of course Mini Post-It notes for the new catalogues.  I will show you a close up of the tags I made.

THE TAGS

A scallop square was cut with the Layering Square Framelits and also a larger black square.  On the white card I stamped the sentiment from the Around The Corner stamp set.  Then stamped the small “flowery” centre shape on to Mango Melody Card and punched it out with the 3/4″ circle punch.  Then I diecut a flower in Mango Melody Card from the Flourish Thinlits and layered them together.  Before adhering the flower to the card with Dimensionals I stamped the leaf from the Around The Corner set in Granny Apple Green.  The Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon was adhered between the white scallop square card and the black card.  They are simple but I loved how they turned out.

MY SWAP

I didn’t have a lot of time to make swaps but I really wanted to and I knew I wasn’t going to have a lot of time to swap on the Saturday as I was helping with registration in the morning. So I kept the card simple and only ended up making 15 of them.

This was my swap card.

I have used the Rooted in Nature Bundle.  The tree and the leaf were heat embossed in Copper and diecut out. The sentiment is from Wood Words stamp set.  I wanted to go for an angle look so angled the paper from the Love What You Do Specialty Paper.  Underneath the paper there was a strip of the Copper Foil Paper. To finish I tied a knot using the Copper Trim.

Now since I hadn’t made many swaps I had a few doubles of cards from recent classes so thought I would add those to the swap mix.  These are the group of cards.  I had 2-3 of each card. These were received well too.

Thanks everyone for swapping with me.  I hope you liked your card you received from me.

A SPECIAL THANK YOU CARD

Earlier I mentioned that I was helping on the Saturday.  This was the special card I received from Stampin’ Up! to say Thanks.  Totally unexpected.  It was signed by all the staff that were there.  How lovely.

This uses the Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper.

Thanks for visiting me.  I hope you like them.

Tomorrow is another 12 Weeks of Christmas Edition so see you then.

SNOWFLAKE SHOWCASE WEEK – BONUS DAY WITH AN ALL OCCASIONS CARD!

I have been sharing projects all this week with the Snowflake Showcase products.  Today while I am in Melbourne for the Stampin’ Up! Onstage event I thought I could squeeze in a little bonus project for you.

I shared a card a few days back that was for any occasion.  I love that these products can be used not just for Christmas and not just to make snowflakes.  So I thought today’s bonus card needed to be another all occasion card.

The Snowfall Thinlits can be used to make some pretty flowers.  I kept the flower simple on this card.  The “snowfall” image was stamped on the Rich Razzleberry card base for some background. It doesn’t have to be snow. 🙂 The paper strip is from the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The Old Olive card strip was embossed with the Basket Weave Embossing Folder.  I love how this layout turned out.  It was loosely based on a Freshly Made Sketches #310 sketch.

You still have time to order these products.  BUT – this is a BIG BUT!  They are only available during November AND ONLY WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.

Here they are again and ordering details for you if you are in Australia.  Now my Aussie friends,  I know that being snowflakes it puts you off these as we don’t have a snowy, wintry Christmas BUT look what else you can make with them.

Here is all the details.

POSTCARDS PALS TRIO!

I have been wanting to share these cards with you for a few weeks.  I coloured them a couple of months ago and posted the images on Instagram and Facebook but only recently assembled them on to a card.  These cards use the very cute Postcard Pals set.  I have to say I was a little hesitant getting the stamp set as I am not very good at colouring.  I am working on it.  I saw such cute cards with them though and it may have just slipped in with an order one time. 😉

Here are the 3 cards.  My daughter did point out to me that I hadn’t coloured the Platypus dude.  I will do him shortly.  I can’t miss him out. 🙂

Here they are close-up for you.

For this one below I have stamped the image in Black Stazon on Shimmery White card and coloured it with the Watercolour Pencils.  The base card is Crushed Curry and the paper is from the Country Lane Designer Series Paper.  I went around lightly in Basic Gray pencil and washed it over to add dimension to the image.

This next card is stamped on to Thick Whisper White card and coloured with the Stampin’ Blends.  Isn’t this beaver such a happy chappy.  The Real Red card is embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder and a strip of paper from the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The card needed something else.  Rather than a card mat I thought a decorative strip.  I pulled out the Delicate Lace Edgelits and cut the “triangular” edge one from Pool Party card.

Now we have a happy Pelican.  This one was stamped on Shimmery White and coloured with Watercolour Pencils.  The sentiment was stamped on Pear Pizzazz and cut with the Stitched Shaped Framelits.  I also cut a scalloped circle from the Layering Circles Framelits from Silver Glimmer Paper to adhere underneath this one.  The white card was a bit plain so I added some “spots” from the Farmhouse Christmas set that I had out on my desk still.

I hope you like these trio.  They make me smile whenever I look at them.

Have a happy day,

Jenny

DON’T FEEL YOU HAVE TO COLOUR THE ACCENTED BLOOMS FLOWERS!

I have another Accented Blooms card for you.  For this card once again I haven’t coloured it.  I like that sometimes. 😉

This card was inspired by a card by Dawn Griffith -> HERE.  I liked the simpleness of the stamped flower with the sentiment.  I stamped the flowers in Rich Razzleberry and cut them with the Layering Ovals Framelits as well as a Rich Razzleberry scallop oval. For my card I went with a simple mat of dotty Designer Series Paper from the Share What You Love Paper.  The paper was matted on to Rich Razzleberry card and then adhered on to a Mint Macaron Card base.  Finishing it off with a small Mint Macaron bow from Nature’s Twine and an Adhesive Rhinestone.  It’s nice you can have a good effect without colouring it.

Thanks for visiting me.

Have a great day wherever you are.

Jenny

ACCENTED BLOOMS WITH STAMPIN’ BLENDS!

I have been creating with the Accented Blooms set recently.  I have a few to share with you over the next few posts.

Let me show you the first one.

The image was stamped in Memento Black Ink onto Thick Whisper White card.  Both a must when you are colouring with the Stampin’ Blends.  I used a number of the Stampin’ Blends to colour the image.  I still have much to learn with colouring but I was happy with this attempt.  The sentiment was stamped on Pumpkin Pie card and punched out with the Tailored Tag Punch.  I sponged a little Pumpkin Pie ink around the edge.

To assemble the card I embossed a piece of Rich Razzleberry card with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder. The strip of paper is from the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper pack and I added some of the Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon around the pieces before adhering them to the Thick Whisper White Card.  The stamped piece was raised up off the card with Dimensionals. Just to finish add an Artisan Pearl embellishment.

Tomorrow I have another card for you similar to this so be sure to stop by.
