cards, Stampin' Up!

ON MY MIND FROGGY!

There are some great free sets for your Sale-A-Bration choices this year but none more cooler than the So Hoppy Together set.  I have played around with this set recently.  This is just one of the cards to share with you.

Isn’t he a cute fellow?  I stamped him first over the Coastal Cabana base card in Coastal Cabana Ink.  I stamped him also in Stazon on white card and coloured him in with the Watercolor Pencils.  Then lightly washed over him with the Aquapainter.   The white card was then cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  A strip of Granny Apple card was embossed with the Sparkle Embossing Folder.

I like making Thinking of You or Hello type cards to send out to people.  I love this sentiment from the new Butterfly Gala set.  I think I will be using this sentiment a bit.  I stamped it on to a strip of white card and cut it with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits and cut a strip of Granny Apple Green card too and offset it under the sentiment piece.  Of course, bling to finish with an adhesive Rhinestone.

I have more froggy cards to come.  You can see the So Hoppy Together set and all the other free Sale-A-Bration choices in my store -> HERE.  Remember to grab your free choice with your $90 or $180 AUS order. Thank you for your order too.

Thanks for visiting me,

12 WEEKS OF CHRISTMAS – WEEK 7 – PEEK A BOO GINGERBREAD MAN!

Today is Week 7 of our 12 Weeks of Christmas series.  This card is a cute one if I can say that.

I haven’t used this stamp set for quite some time and was reminded of it recently. So I thought I would just have to use it for this week.

Here is my card.  I call it my Peek A Boo Gingerbread man.

I have used the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper.  A circle was cut in it with the Layering Circles Framelits and then adhered the legs of the gingerbread man behind the circle.  Then a piece of white card was adhered to the back of the paper.  Once it was all adhered on to the crumb cake mat and the card base I stuck an Dimensional behind his head to prop him up a little.  The Crumb Cake card was embossed with the Sparkle Embossed Folder.  The sentiment was stamped on a strip of Old Olive card and finished with a Red Rhinestone.

Hehe! Don’t you think he is cute?

Thanks for visiting me for our 7th week.  Have you caught the past weeks projects? Be sure to click on the tag  of 12 Weeks of Christmas at the bottom of this post on my blog to see them all.

FRESH COLOURS FOR CI17 COLOUR CHALLENGE!

I had a little play today with the Colour INKspirations Challenge (CI17).  I have missed a few rounds lately so it was good to take time out to play.  I really like to have a go at these challenges as it really extends your creativity.

The Colours for this week are: Pool Party, Lemon Lime Twist, Tempting Turquoise and Flirty Flamingo.  What fun, fresh colours!

I had in mind to use the Beachy Christmas set in the Holiday Catalogue.  I hadn’t got around to using this set yet.  And you don’t need to use this just for Christmas …

For this card I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #261

I was going to watercolour the houses with just a wash but then saw the Work of Art set.  One of the larger “block” type stamps covered over it nicely.  I did do a test run on scrap card to mist the colours after I stamped but I liked it better just to leave them.

The Flirty Flamingo card mat was embossed with the Sparkle Embossing Folder.  I added a strip of the Eastern Palace DSP.  I love that Lemon Lime Twist!  The sentiment I used was from Better Together set.

The clouds were from the Lift Me Up Bundle stamped in Pool Party.  I wouldn’t have necessarily stamped them in that colour but had to add it somewhere.  I did add some sparkle with the Wink of Stella pen.  It’s a bit hard to tell though.

Now when I made this I first used the Peekaboo Peach instead of the Flirty Flamingo.  So I had to put that one aside and redo it with Flirty Flamingo. Once I had finished the card I then went back and finished this one.  I thought I would show you that one too.

I used more of the Eastern Palace DSP.  I played around with the sentiment a bit to cut angles and all kinds of things but ended up just trimming it down and adding some doily underneath.  The sentiment is from Dragonfly Dreams.

I think I like this version better.  What do you think?

Thanks for looking.  I hope your weekend has been great and you have had a chance to be creative,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GORGEOUS WREATH!

It’s been a little crazy this week with so much stuff going on outside stamping.  My daughter’s assessments, her birthday and then getting her licence today in addition to spending half the day chasing up a phone cable and then getting ready for the Craft Show this weekend.  It has all been happening here.  BUT it’s Thursday and time for a card to share with you. You don’t need to know all my personal dramas. 🙂

I made this card a couple of months ago with the lovely Happy Birthday Gorgeous set and of course Berry Burst.  I thought you  might like to see it.  This was inspired by a card on Pinterest.

The Berry Burst card mat was embossed with the Sparkle Embossing folder and then adhered to the Berry Burst card base.

To create the wreath, trace around one of your Circle Framelits with a pencil on your card and use that as a guide to stamp  your leaves.  Being clear stamps it makes it so easy to see. I have used Pear Pizzazz on this one.  Then I filled it in with some Berry Burst flowers and filled them in with the Powder Pink solid shape.  I think I could add a few more individual flowers raised up on the wreath.  I will try that later.  Stamp your sentiment in the centre of your circle.

I added a strip of Silver Glimmer paper behind the white card at the top and added some banners at the bottom.  One was from Silver Glimmer Paper and the other 2 are from the Color Theory Paper Stack. This is a great way of using those little scraps.

One must add a few Rhinestones to finish. 🙂

Thanks for visiting.  I think next week will be a little quieter.  I am keen to play with some new Christmas stamps.  I haven’t even had a chance to do that.  Stay tuned.
