GABLE CHRISTMAS BOX!

Here is a very quick treat box to make up for Christmas.  This one we made at my Christmas in July Class a while ago.  Yes I know that long ago and I am just sharing it now.  Sorry. 🙂

I thought you might like to see it.

These are using the Silver Gable Boxes in the Annual Catalogue.  You get 12 to a pack.  They also come White.

I diecut the red card with the Delicate Lace Edgelits. This was adhered to the front and the back of the box.   The sentiment is from the Stylish Christmas set and punch out with the Everyday Label Punch.  I punched one from Shaded Spruce too to add behind.  I tied around some of the Real Red Solid ribbon on the handle.  Too easy and they will fit a few sweet treats.

Hope you like it?  Thanks for looking.

CHRISTMAS PINES ECLIPSE CARD!

I have been playing with the Eclipse technique recently.  You can see one of them a couple of posts back I made for a colour challenge.  This one is a Christmas one using the Christmas Pines stamp set.

The base card is Cherry Cobbler and the card mat is Crumb Cake.  The pine leaves are stamped in Garden Green. The Gold Foil bow is cut from the Pretty Pines Thinlits.

Have you tried the Eclipse Technique yet.  SO easy but so effective.

Create the Eclipse Technique.

The Eclipse Technique is cutting the words or shapes directly from a stamped card piece and raising them off the card

1. Stamp your card with your chosen images.  You can use a piece of Designer Series paper (patterned paper) too as an alternative.

2. For this card I used the Large Letters Framelits to cut the word out of the white card.  You can use any dies though to cut other shapes from the stamped white card or paper mat.

3. Adhere the stamped white card mat or patterned paper piece directly on to your Crumb Cake card mat and then adhere both to the Cherry Cobbler card base.

4. Raise each letter up off the card in its place with Dimensionals.

NB: I have seen on some tutorials that the letters were cut several times from white card.  Then the cut letter was stacked up and adhered together and then the stamped letter was adhered on top of that stack.  I don’t think that is necessary.  Raising up the letter with Dimensionals is quite adequate.

Now you can go and create your own Eclipse card.

Thanks for looking today.   I hope your day is going OK??

TWO MORE CARDS WITH CHRISTMAS IN THE MAKING!

Following from the card I shared yesterday I have 2 more cards to show you with the Christmas in the Making set.

I do love the images in this set.  Very retro! I am not sure of the colours I have used though and the colouring is not great but I was pleased with the finished cards.

For both these cards I have used the Merry Little Christmas DSP again on the black side this time.

The mailbox image for this first card was stamped on Shimmery White cardstock and coloured with the Inkpads and Aquapainters.  It was then layered onSilver Foil sheet and Real Red cardstock.

The image for the next card was stamped on Thick Whisper White and coloured again with the Inkpads and Aquapainter.  The sentiment was stamped and then cut with the Stitched Circle Framelits and layered on a Real Red scalloped circle using the Layering Circle Framelits.  I wrapped around some of the thin Real Red Solid Ribbon before adhering the paper to the base card.

I wanted to do something a little different.  Have a close look.

I stamped the image again on Thick Whisper White, coloured just the gifts, the bow and the girls collar and cut them out.  They were then raised up off the card with Dimensionals giving a 3D effect.  The white gifts were coloured with the Clear Wink of Stella pen.

Here are the 3 cards together for you.

CAROLS OF CHRISTMAS – DAY 5!

DAY 5

Today’s project is actually a gift box.  It is always good to have little boxes to fill with chocolates or treats.  This is not a new box for me but I will give you the instructions shortly.

I created the sentiment the same way as I did on the card from yesterday.  You can go back to that post to check it out if you like.  This box was just the right size to add the die cut frame on the top of the box.  The ornaments on the side was added as an afterthought.  It needed something there.  I probably should have thought of that before I assembled the box.  So stamping on this afterwards was a little stressful.  I held a clear block to the back of the panel when I stamped – and held my breath. That is an important stamping requirement you know. 😉  It turned out well not just once but twice.  I was so lucky!!

To make the box:

I designed this box a few years ago now.  You can find the Original post with the instructions in Metric and Imperial on this post HERE.

Here is the card and the box together to see what a great pair they make. Funky for Christmas do you think?? 🙂

CAROLS OF CHRISTMAS – DAY 4!

DAY 4

Nearly at the end of the week.  Can you believe that?? How have you liked this week showcasing the Carols of Christmas bundle??  So many different looks you can achieve just with the one stamp set and Thinlits.

I have to say this card today is probably my favourite.  It is so funky and fresh.  Totally not your traditional Christmas colours.

It is in Lemon Lime Twist and Dapper Denim.  What do you reckon?? Perhaps I should have had a warning to wear your sunglasses. 🙂

For the sentiment on this one I inked up the top half of the sentiment in Lemon Lime Twist ink by dabbing the inkpad on to the top half of the stamp.  Then I used the Dapper Denim inkpad and dabbed on the ink to the bottom half of the stamp.  Then I stamped it on to a piece of Whisper White card. I love the two-tone effect.  I thought for a little more retro fun I would add an Incolor Bitty Bow.

Tomorrow’s project actually co-ordinates with this one.  Make sure you stop by.

STARLIGHT EMBOSS RESIST CARD!

This is the 2nd project from my Christmas in July Online event that I thought I would share with you.

This card uses the Emboss Resist Technique.  Heat embossing itself is such a magical technique but add the ink to it and you get a WOW! effect – I think anyway.

Here is the card. I have used the Star of Light Stamp set and the Starlight Thinlits. I have a video below for you to check it out yourself.

Thanks for visiting and checking it out.  Be sure to subscribe to my Youtube channel so you get regular updates as I start venturing in to this world.  I would appreciate your feedback too for this Youtube novice. 🙂

HOLLY, JOLLY GREETINGS TAGS!

Just a quick one for me today. I thought I would show you these really quick Christmas tags using the Holly, Jolly Greetings set.

candy-cane-tags

These were inspired by tags I saw on Pinterest.  I think the Whisper White card is cut to 5cm x 12cm (2″ x 4 3/4″) and the top punched with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch. The snowflake is stamped in Crumb Cake with the sentiment stamped in Real Red. There are a number of combinations you could make with these stamps for your sentiments. You can see the set below.

I added some small strips of the Candy Cane DSP with some Red Glimmer Paper. This is a great way to use up some of those small scraps you have lying around. I tied around some Real Red Twine and finished them with Rhinestones.  It wouldn’t take long to whip up a number of these classy tags to dress up your gifts for Christmas.

Here is the set for you to see if you haven’t noticed it.  This is in the Annual Catalogue p 34. ($49.00 W   $35.00 C).

Thanks for visiting today.  I hope your day/ night is great.

DELICATE ORNAMENTS ON BERRIES AND BOUGHS!

I was playing around with some left-over Stamp A Stack kits the other week.  I just made a quick card up with one of the kits left.  I thought you might like to see it.

P1170418

The card base and the large ornament is in Bermuda Bay. I embossed the white card with the ‘Boughs and Berries’ Embossing Folder. On this card I added another ornament from the ‘Delicate Ornaments’ Thinlets cut from the Silver Foil Sheets to give a little sparkle.  The greeting is from the ‘Wonderland’ stamp set. A little Silver Ribbon finishes it off.

Thanks for visiting today.  I hope you have a wonderful day,

Jenny

2015_HolidayMini_en-AU

I have been playing with products in this catalogue for a few weeks now.  (Just one of the benefits of being a demonstrator!).  I have posted a few projects recently and I have more to share with you too.  Yesterday I had a quick play and made up this card.  This was inspired from some cards on Pinterest.

Christmas

I have used the new ‘Woodland’Embossing Folder.  Now this is towards the back of the catalogue (p39) and can be overlooked especially by us downunder as we don’t celebrate Halloween and Thanksgiving and people tend to stop after the Christmas products; BUT keep going there are some awesome products that you will be able to use anytime.  The stamp set is ‘Jingle All the Way’ (p12) and I love those sweet wooden Snowflake Elements (p23). I have finished it off with an Adhesive Pearl.

So now I am going to stop talking so you can go looking at the catalogue.  If you want to get any of that goodness and don’t have a Demonstrator then let me know.  If you would like a Catalogue sent to you then let me know too.  I know you can read it online but it is so much nicer to have the real thing. 🙂

Happy Reading 🙂

Jenny
