BEAUTIFULLY PENNED WEEK – DAY 1!

We are featuring the Beautifully Penned Week all week this week. Because it is so lovely and so versatile. Be sure to check in each day. (Better still be sure to follow my blog if you haven’t already so you don’t miss out).

I did start last post with our Sale-A-Bration Saturday so go back to that one if you missed it.

Today’s project.

For this card I used the Delicate Dahlias stamp set which is another free choice for Sale-A-Bration with orders over $180 AUD. It is very pretty with the detail you can get.

I used 2 prints of the Beautifully Penned DSP on this card and went with an angle on the floral pattern.

The scallop rectangle is diecut with one from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and used some Highland Heather Grosgrain Ribbon.

The Beautifully Penned DSP is available as a free choice with your orders over $90 for Sale-A-Bration.

You can contact me directly to order OR head to my store -> HERE. Please use the Host Code: 2N2FPKZB

Don’t forget to add your free Sale-A-Bration choice.

I will see you again with another Beautifully Penned Paper project next post. Have a great day.

ONE LAST PLAY WITH THE PRETTY FINE ART FLORAL PAPER – AND A DESIGN TIP!

The 2021 Mini Catalogue is nearly ending. There are so many pretty papers in this catalogue. I’m a bit sad about them leaving. (Right now many of the retiring papers are reduced though).

I pulled out the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper last weekend for one last play with it. I had some “bits” so wanted to use them.

Here is one of the cards I created.

I will say this took a while to finish. I couldn’t get the front together properly. Everything I added got lost in the paper but I didn’t want to cover too much of it.

Here’s a tip: When you have a busy background add some Vellum to soften it. For this card I added a Vellum Diecut rectangle cut from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

Notice the paper? I cut the paper a little smaller and cut a section off. Then separated the 2 pieces just for something a little different.

I used the Art Gallery Stamp set but trimmed off the flower head from one of the stamped flowers and added it with the leaf stem.

This is the inside of the card. I think I should have stamped the flower in Old Olive though to match.

This is such pretty paper so be sure to go and grab it. It’s reduced to $12.

You can find it in my store -> HERE.

Have a great day,

FLOWER AND FIELD FLOWER CARD!

Have you seen the lovely Flower and Field Designer Series Paper?? One side has some great flower patterns and the other side has more plain prints.

Flower and Field DSP

For the card I am sharing today I have used 2 of the papers. I love how they work together. And, the card is oh so easy to put together!

The flowers were fussy cut from one of the prints and I love how it contrasted so well with the stripey print. I added the Vellum rectangle, cut from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies, to help highlight the flowers so they don’t get so lost among the stripes. A simple sentiment from the Many Messages stamp set and cut with the Messages Die.

You can grab this Flower and Field Designer Series Paper Free with your orders over $90 for Sale-A-Bration. Or choose any of the other sets. Less than 2 weeks left!

FINE ART FLORAL THANK YOU CARDS!

I like making little Thank You cards for my customers for when they order with me. I couldn’t help this month to use the new gorgeous Fine Art Floral Suite.

The Smoky Slate card base was stamped with the flower a couple of times with Smoky Slate ink. For the white card piece. Firstly diecut the white card with the scalloped rectangle frame from the Stitched So Sweetly dies.

Some tips with stamping the flower.

I first inked it with Old Olive and before stamping I used the Blender Pen to wipe off the Old Olive Ink on the small flower heads. To do this, swipe with the Blender Pen and rub off the ink on to scrap paper. Keep doing this until the ink is off. It takes a couple of goes. Then coloured them with a Blender Pen dipped in Pumpkin Pie ink. Then you can stamp it on the white card. With the Dark Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends I coloured a little dot on the flowers.

I stamped the flowers again in Pumpkin Pie ink on to scrap white card and used the small detail flower stamped in Poppy Parade. Diecut the flower using the Floral Gallery Dies. I snipped off the stem on this one then raised the flower head up off the card Dimensionals. I love the extra height and dimension you get that way.

If you order with me this month you will get to receive one of these cards. 🙂

STARRY CURVY CHRISTMAS!

I have been having fun playing with the Curvy Christmas set and the Curvy Dies. As well as the Quite Curvy set as well.

For today’s card I teamed it with the Stitched Stars Dies. How great do they co-ordinate together!!

The soft Suede ink works well with the Copper Foil that I diecut the larger star with. The ornate smaller star is diecut in Cherry Cobbler.

The sentiment is diecut with one of the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. The paper is part of the Classic Christmas Designer Series Paper pack.

The Curvy Christmas set and the Classic Christmas paper is only available until the 4th January.

IN THE TROPICS DAISY!

I had this idea in my head for a little while and thought I would give it a try. I have to say it didn’t work out as well as I had imagined. But, … I’m going to show anyway.

When I first saw the pineapple top in the In The Tropics Dies I wondered if it would make a grassy clump. That idea could work with the Daisy Lane set or similar.

After I cut the “grass” I sponged the ends with the Old Olive ink.

The patterned paper is from the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper pack.

The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Greetings set and was cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

What do you think of this idea? Yay or Nay?

I’m keeping this brief today. Our computer has died so doing this on the IPad and Phone. I’m adaptable right. 😆 So apologies roday for the standard of the post.

Thanks for visiting me.

RAZZLEBERRY FLOWERING FOILS!

Another Flowering Foils card for you today.  This time I have coloured one of the flowers on the flower print paper of the Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper.

I used the Rich Razzleberry and the Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. I love how you get the resist effect with the embossing on the flowers.  The paper is so easy to colour.

To finish the card I used a piece of the Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper adhered on to a white card mat and then on to the Rich Razzleberry card base.

The sentiment is from the So Sentimental stamp set and then cut with the Stitched So Sweetly dies.  On the Rich Razzleberry diecut piece I embossed that with the Layered Leaves 3D Embossing Folder to add some texture.

On the back of the sentiment pieces loop some Silver Thread on to the back and to finish a Rhinestone was coloured with the Rich Razzleberry Dark Stampin’ Blends to co-ordinate.

Both the Lily Impressions paper and the Flowering Foils Designer Series Paper are available as Sale-A-Bration choices but there is only 2 weeks left.  Grab either of these (or any of the other choices) when you shop in my store now -> HERE.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Jenny

SPONGING THE FLOWERING FOILS PAPER WITH A VIDEO!

I have mentioned already the gorgeous Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper.  You have probably seen lots around with it too.  Today I have a card to share with you using this paper and a video to show how you can very easily add the colour to the paper with the sponge rollers.

This card is inspired by a card in the 2nd release Sale-A-Bration brochure (p3)  I changed it up a little.

Here is the card.

Check the video below.

I used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies on the card and the sentiment is from So Sentimental. The card in the brochure uses one of these sentiments too but I just wanted to keep it simple rather than cutting around the sentiment seen on that card.  It does give it a good effect when you do that.

The leaves are from the Birthday Dies.  These are available as Co-ordination products that go with the Happy Birthday To You stamp set also for Sale-A-Bration.

The Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper is only available for March during Sale-A-Bration (or while supplies last) so you want to grab them soon.  You receive them as your free choice with orders over $90.  Check out my store now -> HERE.

Have fun sponging and colouring this paper.

MEERKAT HELLO CARD!

Do you like The Gang’s All Meer Set?  It’s a cute one.  Today I have a card for you with this set teamed up with paper that you probably wouldn’t associate with the Meerkats.  I have used the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper.

The white card was cut with the Stitched Nested Labels Die. After stamping the cute meerkats they were coloured with the Stampin’ Blends.  The paper was adhered to an Old Olive Card base.  Before adhering the stamped piece a little strip of the Real Red Double Stitched Satin Ribbon was added behind.  The sentiment from Itty Bitty Sentiments was stamped on red card and cut with the smallest die in the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

I think this may just work with the poppies, do you??

It’s only another month left for Sale-A-Bration for you to grab these little meerkat dudes.  The Gang’s All Meer set is free with orders over $90.  Be quick to grab them.

You can order online in my store now ->HERE and choose this or any of the other qualifying Sale-A-Bration items.

Have a great week,

Jenny

BEAUTIFUL MOMENTS WEEK – DAY 4 – WHITEWASHED GIRLS!

Day 4 of our Beautiful Moments Week.  This card is a technique I have wanted to try for a while.  I thought this set was a great one to try it.  This technique is known as the Whitewash Technique.  Have you tried it before?

Here is my card.

To create the Whitewash:

Stamp your image on dark coloured cardstock  (Crumb Cake used here) using Versamark and heat emboss with White Embossing Powder.  Using White Reinker, drop 1-2 drops on to a clear block.  Add some drops of water using the Aquapainter and mix the 2 together.  Pick up some white ink with the Aquapainter and paint the image in white.  Allow this to dry completely.  It may take a little time.

Once dry pick up some colour from the inkpads using the Aquapainter. (Be sure to clean the Aquapainter after using the white ink). Paint the image in your colour choices.

To finish the card:

Diecut the card.  I have used the new Nature’s Thoughts Dies.

On a side note: How pretty is this die??  Something a little different to the stitched effect.  Using the decorative die in the Nature’s Thoughts Dies diecut a strip of white card.  Trim to size and then adhere to the back of the Crumb Cake card.

Adhere a piece of the Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper from Sale-A-Bration on to Thick Whisper White card.  Raise up the stamped Crumb Cake card piece off the card using Dimensionals.

Stamp a Sentiment from the So Sentimental stamp set and diecut using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  Raise that up off the card.

Hope you get to try this technique.

Be sure to get  your Beautiful Moments stamp set in store but also I think you need to grab the Nature’s Thoughts Dies too.  They will be a great addition.  I will talk more about these another time but see them in store -> HERE.

Happy Stamping,

Jenny
