SALE-A-BRATION, HEAL YOUR HEART!

There hasn’t been a lot I have seen with this stamp set. I think the sentiments are really lovely though for those “hard to do” cards. The occasions that we struggle with.

The Heal Your Heart stamp set would be just the right set.

These projects below are created by Stampin’ Up! Artists.

Create a little gift box for some special treats. The flowers are created with the Dandy Wishes Dies.

And a soft delicate card created with the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper. What a beautiful saying this is. Add some vellum behind your sentiment to soften the paper if you feel it is too busy. It helps separate the paper and sentiment so it stands out more.

Hopefully they are not cards you need to make too often but it’s nice to have a stamp just for that occasion.

The Heal Your Heart set is a Free choice for Sale-A-Bration with your qualifying orders over $90.

Sale-A-Bration ends THIS SUNDAY FEB 28.

Don’t delay. Whether you choose this set or there are some other great stamps and pretty papers to choose.

Check them out in my store -> HERE. You can order there directly if you are in Australia or contact me directly on 0439 844574. Don’t wait too long though.

5 WAYS WITH PAPER – #4!

Today – DAY 4 of “5 WAYS WITH PAPER”.  What have you thought so far??

Today’s card – why not feature the paper! With all the beautiful prints you can use them just as they are.

This lovely print from Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper is so detailed with the veins of the leaves.  I decided to make a Sympathy card with this paper.  Good to always have on hand sadly.

It’s a very simple layout with a window highlighting the paper.  The leaves are from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits. I cut one from Crumb Cake and one from Vellum.  The sentiment is from the Better Together set.

Last one tomorrow.  Hope you will tune in.  I have had fun creating with the papers.  I should do more of it.  How about you?

FRIDAY FAVOURITES – THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS!

Today for Friday Favourites is a very special one.  I am sad to see the  Thoughts and Prayers set retiring.  It has been a much loved and very well used set, although I haven’t used it for a little while now.  This was one of the first sets I bought when I joined Stampin’  Up! nearly 10 years ago.

I had to take a photo of the stamps.  Not only was it a wood mount set only but it was double-mounted (or even triple-mounted!) which some sets were at the time.  I have to say I am glad that Stampin’ Up! have moved away from this idea.  It does make it a little harder to stamp like this.

I went back over some cards I had made with this set.  Many were for Sympathy cards.  I think that is why this set is so special.  The cards were often for loved ones at a very difficult time.  I went searching on my blog but in the early days I hadn’t tagged my posts at all so it was  hard to find some posts.  I found some photos in my computer files that I thought I would share with you.

Remember this was early days some even before the Big Shot and some photos were even scanned!!! Bear with me here. 🙂

If you haven’t got this set already then please grab it now.  The sentiments are beautiful and the flowers are simple but elegant.  It is certainly one to have in your stash.  You can even choose clear mount now ($36 AUS).

View and order it in my store -> HERE.

Thanks for reminiscing with me with this set.

A SPECIAL SYMPATHY CARD!

I needed to make a Sympathy card last week for a special friend. They are always hard cards to make aren’t they?

For this card I decided to use the Rose Wonder set. It’s always a great set to turn to for special occasions. I did a little search on Pinterest and decided to CASE this card from Brian King. It was simple, elegant and understated.

I didn’t have the type of paper Brian used so chose this paper from the Delightful Daisy DSP pack.  Not the usual colour for a sympathy but I thought it was OK. A simple flower cut with the Rose Garden Thinlits in white layered on Calypso Coral and a mat of White.

The sentiment is from Rose Wonder set.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Have a great day and remember to hug the ones you love.
