cards, Christmas, Stampin' Up!

On our Team Zoom Christmas chat on the weekend we were given a Challenge. Use Non-Christmas products to create a Christmas card – in 20 minutes! YIKES!

I have to say it took me half that time to work out what I was going to do but here is my card.

I ended up using the Tasteful Touches stamp set and the Watercolor Shapes Stamp set. Also who would have thought that the You’re A Peach Designer Series Paper would work for Christmas.

What would you do? Why not give it a try.

Hope all your preparations are going well. It’s a crazy time.

Have a great week,

Today’s project is using the Tasteful Touches stamp set.  I love heat embossing and thought those feathers would look lovely in shiny silver.

cards, Catalogues, Stampin' Up!, swaps

The last 2 posts I have shared swaps that I received from a Card Swap I joined in on with the 2020 Stampin’ Up! Catalogue. If you missed them do pop back and see them in the last posts.

Today I thought I would share more details on the cards I created for the swaps.

This card was for the Round 1 Swap Group. I have used the set Comfort and Hope.

I picked the colours for this card from some of the Designer Series Paper from last year I think.  Now I can’t remember which pack.  The colours are Mint Macaron, Blackberry Bliss and Mango Melody.  I wouldn’t have thought to put these colours together.

The Stitched circle with the swirly circles needed something underneath and I didn’t have any Blackberry Bliss Ribbon so I diecut 2 little banners from the Tasteful Labels Dies set and added them underneath.  It just adds another element.

I love sending cards in the mail “Just Because” so I really like this Paper Hug sentiment.

My swap card for Round 2 Group  I used the Tasteful Touches Bundle.

The colours used were Crumb Cake and Mint Macaron. When I was assembling the card I thought it was missed something so I added a vellum scallop circle using the die in the Tasteful Labels Dies set. It helps “ground” the flower. I used one of the other dies in the set to diecut the white  card with the flower stamped on it.

The Mint Macaron card was embossed with the Greenery Embossing Folder.  I added a little Linen Thread bow to finish it off.

I love joining in swaps and seeing all the amazing creations that I receive. It’s great getting the new ideas.

Have a great week. I hope it’s a creative one for you.

PS. Don’t forget Bonus Days are on this month.

We have talked about the new Stampin’ Up! Incolors for 2020 and you have probably seen them a little around your travels on the internet.

This card I am sharing today uses the 5 new colours together.

I have used the feather from the Tasteful Touches stamp set and stamped them on each In color card in Basic Gray. Then they were diecut with one of the rectangle dies in the Stitched Rectangles.  Rather than adhere them in a straight line I thought it would be fun to stagger them on the card.

The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Greetings set.

A fun little card perhaps?? 🙂

Have a great week,

Stampin' Up!

I have another card for you today with the Tasteful Touches Bundle.  I hope you are not sick of this bundle yet.  I think it is fast becoming my favourite from the catalogue.

Last week I shared a card and video with this bundle.  If you missed it head back a couple of posts.

I have another version of that card.

A little simple stamping on the front of the card using Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow.

The flower has so much detail you don’t even need to colour it if you don’t want to.  I have stamped this one in Old Olive.  The white card piece was cut with one of the dies from the Tasteful Labels Dies.  A Petal Pink piece was diecut with a different die, ran through the diecut machine with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder to add some texture.  It was then adhered under the stamped flower piece.

I will share more cards with this lovely bundle again soon.

Grab this bundle for yourself.

You can see it in my store now -> HERE.

Happy stamping,

Blog Hops, cards, Catalogues

Time for another Blog Hop with the Stamping Around The World Tutorial Group.  We bring you different Tutorials each month and join together in a Blog Hop.

This month I am using the Tasteful Touches Bundle.  I have loved using this bundle the last few weeks.  It is so gorgeous.

Here is my project for you.

The flower is stamped over the white card with Basic Gray ink.  It just makes a simple statement.  The flower is stamped again on scrap white card and this one coloured with the Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.  The flower is fussy cut out with scissors.

The sentiment piece is stamped on Sahara Sand and diecut with the small banner shape from the Tasteful Labels Dies.  I thought the flower was a little bare so added a scallop circle cut from Vellum.  This scallop is cut with the scallop die in the the Tasteful Label Dies set.

Card measurements:

Thick Whisper White card base: 21cm x 14.8cm scored at 10.5cm   (8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″)

Flirty Flamingo card: 8.5cm x 12.8cm (3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″)

Whisper White card: 8.1cm x 12.4cm (3 3/8″ x 4 5/8″)

Scrap card pieces: Whisper White, Sahara Sand, Vellum.

Also used:

Tasteful Touches Bundle, Many Mates stamp set.

Memento Ink, Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends (light and Dark), Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends, Adhesive Pearls.
