ON MY MIND FROGGY!

There are some great free sets for your Sale-A-Bration choices this year but none more cooler than the So Hoppy Together set.  I have played around with this set recently.  This is just one of the cards to share with you.

Isn’t he a cute fellow?  I stamped him first over the Coastal Cabana base card in Coastal Cabana Ink.  I stamped him also in Stazon on white card and coloured him in with the Watercolor Pencils.  Then lightly washed over him with the Aquapainter.   The white card was then cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  A strip of Granny Apple card was embossed with the Sparkle Embossing Folder.

I like making Thinking of You or Hello type cards to send out to people.  I love this sentiment from the new Butterfly Gala set.  I think I will be using this sentiment a bit.  I stamped it on to a strip of white card and cut it with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits and cut a strip of Granny Apple Green card too and offset it under the sentiment piece.  Of course, bling to finish with an adhesive Rhinestone.

I have more froggy cards to come.  You can see the So Hoppy Together set and all the other free Sale-A-Bration choices in my store -> HERE.  Remember to grab your free choice with your $90 or $180 AUS order. Thank you for your order too.

WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #42 – COLOURING – WHAT PAPER, WHAT INK??

Wednesday’s come around so quickly but I love sharing little tips and videos with you on Wednesday’s.  Do you like them?

Today’s Wednesday’s WOW! #42 is what I hope will be a helpful little chart.  Which Ink and which paper to use when you are colouring.  I often get asked this question in classes so maybe you are wondering too.

I think the chart is self-explanatory but it goes through different colouring mediums – the Aquapainter or Blender Pens with the Inkpads,  Watercolour Pencils and Stampin’ Blends and which ink and paper to use with these.  It really makes a difference to the finished result with what you use.  Next time you come to watercolour I hope that you find this useful to refer to.

Hope that is helpful.

POSTCARDS PALS TRIO!

I have been wanting to share these cards with you for a few weeks.  I coloured them a couple of months ago and posted the images on Instagram and Facebook but only recently assembled them on to a card.  These cards use the very cute Postcard Pals set.  I have to say I was a little hesitant getting the stamp set as I am not very good at colouring.  I am working on it.  I saw such cute cards with them though and it may have just slipped in with an order one time. 😉

Here are the 3 cards.  My daughter did point out to me that I hadn’t coloured the Platypus dude.  I will do him shortly.  I can’t miss him out. 🙂

Here they are close-up for you.

For this one below I have stamped the image in Black Stazon on Shimmery White card and coloured it with the Watercolour Pencils.  The base card is Crushed Curry and the paper is from the Country Lane Designer Series Paper.  I went around lightly in Basic Gray pencil and washed it over to add dimension to the image.

This next card is stamped on to Thick Whisper White card and coloured with the Stampin’ Blends.  Isn’t this beaver such a happy chappy.  The Real Red card is embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder and a strip of paper from the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The card needed something else.  Rather than a card mat I thought a decorative strip.  I pulled out the Delicate Lace Edgelits and cut the “triangular” edge one from Pool Party card.

Now we have a happy Pelican.  This one was stamped on Shimmery White and coloured with Watercolour Pencils.  The sentiment was stamped on Pear Pizzazz and cut with the Stitched Shaped Framelits.  I also cut a scalloped circle from the Layering Circles Framelits from Silver Glimmer Paper to adhere underneath this one.  The white card was a bit plain so I added some “spots” from the Farmhouse Christmas set that I had out on my desk still.

I hope you like these trio.  They make me smile whenever I look at them.

Have a happy day,

Jenny

HAPPY CHRISTMAS WISHES TRUCK!

Playing with the Farmhouse Christmas set again.

This one is coloured with the Watercolor Pencils and washed over lightly with the Aquapainter.  It was stamped on Shimmer Paper with Stazon. The patterned Paper is from 2 different packs.  The red pattern is from the All is Bright Designer Series Paper from the Holiday Catalogue and the “check” one is from the Under The Mistletoe Designer Series Paper from the Annual Catalogue. They work well together though.  The ribbon is from the Tea Room Ribbon Combo.

I have another one using this set to show you tomorrow.  Stop on by and check it out.

Have a great day,

Jenny

ACCENTED BLOOMS WITH WATERCOLOUR PENCILS!

Yesterday I showed you a card with the Accented Blooms set with the flower image coloured with the Stampin’ Blends.  Pop back a post if you missed that one.  Today I have another one similar but this time I have coloured it with the Watercolour Pencils and gone over it lightly with the Aquapainter to blend the colours.

This time the image was stamped with Stazon on to Shimmery White card.  This card is thicker than regular Whisper White and will take the water.  There is only a very little amount of water used with this so you could possibly use the Thick Whisper White but I rather keep it to the Shimmery White.  Also, it’s nice getting the little sparkle from the paper.  Once the image was dry from watercolouring it was adhered to a piece of Rich Razzleberry card that had been embossed with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder.  Then this was adhered to the Thick Whisper White card base.

The sentiment was stamped in Pumpkin Pie and punched out with the Tailored Tag Punch then raised up with Dimensionals.

What do you think of this version?  I will show you some completely different cards with this set next.

Thanks for stopping by today.
